Kalista Ult

Has ANYONE figured out how to use this / who to use this with in a way that doesn't feel horrible?

I hate using this ability; I feel like it puts me at a disadvantage every time I try. All this ult seems to do for me is take my ally out of the fight for four seconds, give me a heinous amount of lag, and then put my ally in a really awkward position that takes them a couple seconds to adjust and react to. Unless you're in a duo-queue Skyping with the person you've bonded to, you're severely gimped.

I'm sorry Riot, but I'm not sure what you were thinking on this one. I usually try to keep a positive outlook even you make a bad decision here or there; people make mistakes even when they're trying to do good. It happens. But.... everything about this ability just feels wrong. The whole soul-binding thing just feels wrong. Her passive, her Q, her E, even the vision aspect of her W, these all feel great and work great together to create a really fun champion, but that ult is such a sore thumb. I think you guys just tried way too hard to make a good thing better. Keep it simple, stupids. ♥

If your Kalista your souldbound target does the second part of your ult. If he get put in an awkward position thats on him/her. I believe her ult can be game changing if used correctly. I have used it to keep my partner out of trouble, to initiate fights, also as a gap closer.

TL:DR If you're Kalista your ult is essentially meant to give you (the adc) and your support something to initiate fights, or give more peeling options.

**Scenario: **

You (Kalista) and your support (Thresh) are in the jungle by dragon (warding river), your jungle (Lee Sin) is doing his blue team red buff. Enemy Lucian, Leona, and jungle Maokai catch you and your adc out. Your jungle sees this but it takes him some time to get to river to help; so before he shows up you have to delay the inevitable 3 v 2. Thresh was leading so hes the first one to get the brunt of the skills taking him to 1/3 health. Kalista then ULTS to bring him to safety further back; mind you lee sin has now gotten into a position to engage. Thresh then uses the second part of the ult to get a 3 man knock up on Mao, Lucian, and Leona. Leona lances to you, and Thresh being smart hooks the Leona off of you while lee sin assasinates the Lucian and then starts doing damage to the Maokai. You (Kalista) mop up Leona, and then make your way to Maokai to pick up the double kill; securing 3 kills and a dragon.

This instance was pretty simplified for the sake of keeping it somewhat short, but you get the point. I like to think of Kalista's ultimate as a powered up Ashe + Varus ult. It may be a bit more difficult to use if your support is still learning the ropes, but it's still an amazing ult with a relatively short cooldown which makes it very useful.
