This one time in the summer I graduated from High School my younger sibling and myself went out to Lunch. The night before there was a massive thunder storm, so by mid afternoon the ground is still wet. Though appeared to be more dry to me at a fast glance then on that summer day.
So, we have returned home from lunch and decide to race into the house. The height between is no factor in the speed. However, the chance and luck with the most efficient path to the front door first is the most sound decision made on this day. I am to this very day the living proof that Short cuts are not always short cuts owning the fastest route to victory. I win this race if the ground is far from wet by being dry straight for a 5 to 7 days straight.
But, with the rain from the night before and there being a worn path of a short cut, ... Yup!... I am trying in the middle of the race to defeat and conquer the Mud path, but no way for me! The only way for me is down, on the ground instantly sliding across the ground not quite my best one leg under me slide "Safe at Home Plate" with no room for breaks!! Surely the long scratch from the pavement and the scar I own to this day are reminders in how the most wise is never 100% fully owned only by adults or those older in times of certain experiences.
I did giggle in creating this post. Sure, I was in pain though not crying. We were both laughing then, and I am always happy to make people smile. Most of the time even at my own expense, though this usually depends on the company sharing int he experience with me. From: FuryofThornsRedo
