should i protect adc or being like a jackass and do my own stuff?

so first hi every one.then i just want to really know what should i do in this game?i started this game since 3 months after this game released,so so many confusion i have in my 5 and several months experienced and that is should i protect adc or be a man carry the team by myself?cuz i had a experience that is i was a trundle with godmode build(against ad champ or even jax) and i could even 1v2 with jax and their adc but suddenly there was a poppy without boot 5 offense item and 1 warmog just destroyed my adc by popping her ult on her so i couldnt even put exhaust and ignite or anything and she just demolished my team and while i was dealing with jax and their adc and almost won that but we end up lossing that teamfight with no casualty from their team... this is so strange i want ur opinion(and plz dont judge me by my name.this name made about 4 years and 1 month ago so everything is changed,sry about any english problem,and anything if its wrong). also wanted to survey fromm the community about this topic but i dont know how? just plz comment

As a support champion or supportive tank, you protect whoever is the person most likely to win the game for you.

Whether it's your ADC, top, mid or jungler.

In the specific situation you described given that the Poppy ulted the ADC, other than using your pillar which is terrain to try and block her there was nothing that could be done.

well if im not mistaken u mean i have to tolerate and still protect them,but what should i do if they keep dieing while they r getting 1 shotted?

i find another solution:careless about score do ur own stuff and see what will happens.. well i play volibear i play like that and recently it worked and i got alot of wins cuz of carelessness about score.

If your ADC doesn't know what they are doing and (clear waves with ult not last hitting playing to agro and dying ect) try to roam and get other lanes fed in team fights peel for the MID laner NOT ADC if your ADC is good and knows what they are doing (last hiting NOT using ult to clear minions as graves playing passive ect) but they are not doing the best then stay with them in lane and just tell them to not go agro stay under tower if needed and just farm. I have went 0/3 in lane as graves but then 4v1 quad at the end to then ace them and win just cuz i farmed and didn't give more kills. If the ADC has good farm and some items try to peel for the mid AND ADC if the ADC is fed af PEEL FOR THE ADC. FUCK THE MID if the mid laner and ADC sucks then engage the fights. If that still isn't helping then idk sorry :( but i do hope this helps

no ur idea is good,normally when i play voli support i will go with the situation like depends my adc first (if she is an aggressive player or defensive player) = so then im gonna decide what to do? the problem with me is when she is getting caught by blitz pull= then im gonna save her and im getting caught in 1v2 situation while the adc just running (while she not get focused) so, im not sure what to do from then=should i be angry or not?

What i see is that if your ADC is good, if you can die but get them out then its kinda worth. But if you go in to save her and she is retarted and stays under tower atuoing minions let her die save your self. Thats at lest what i do as a support with the mustache master Braum
