How do I carry?

I main ADC and I'd like to think I'm a reasonably competent player. I very rarely finish with anything remotely resembling a bad KDA, I usually win lane with at least 1 or 2 kills, but lately my winrate has been kind of horrible. I've got my weaknesses(I really need to get better at warding, for one) but in almost every game I've played recently I've had someone go 0/4/0 or even worse in the first 10-15 minutes, and often two or three people do it. I wish I was exaggerating with those numbers, but I'm really not. I don't want to be the typical bronzie saying "psh I'm pro as fuck but my team is just too bad to carry", but, well... how the hell do I carry when I've got multiple people feeding 4+ kills in the first 10-15 minutes? When I'm the only person on my team doing remotely well I just get focused down and slaughtered. Have I just been having a string of awful luck giving me uncarryable games or am I doing something wrong?

See those games you won as Jinx a few days ago? That's how you carry. Out of the 10 games you played, you had 3 games where your KDA were lower than 2. You have solid games, but you aren't really carrying hard enough to win.

The 2 games I pointed out, you had multiple kills and very little deaths. You need to utilize your advantage and obtain objectives (Dragon, Towers, Baron, Buffs, etc). If you want to see silver for yourself, I can duo with you on my smurf. It really all comes down objectives.

I've had more trouble carrying out of bronze and silver than gold or higher and it was because I was playing the wrong type of champions or roles. Try to play some steamroll type champs or "fotm" champs. Assassins work very well at lower elo, any champ that can capitalize on mistakes well and get fed easy are the ones you want to learn.

people are bad in bronze and silver the best way to win those games is to play split pushers and asssasins. If you can stream i can coach you for free.

Alright, you need to understand one thing: Every game is winnable. Based on what you told me, you win your lane and other lanes lose. Laning phase doesn't decide who wins the game. You can always make a comeback through mid-late teamfights and taking objectives. If you're able to win your lane, use that advantage to take objectives. When you kill your bot lane, take a turret or dragon. If you kill the enemy outer bot turret, roam to mid to take that turret. Focus less on what your teammates did poorly and more on what you can and should do to win the game. After laning phase ends, ask your team to group and go for objectives. If the enemy doesn't group, you have a big advantage since 5 players attacking an objective will take it down much faster and you can always force a favorable fight where the enemy has less players.

There have been quite a few good discussions on this topic before. Here's a link to one response I wrote in an ADC thread, including a series of links to other threads with good content: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/tips-tricks/qqeb26cW-how-to-adc?comment=0000

One of these threads was also specifically about translating successful laning into late-game carrying: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/tips-tricks/P7MYF54M-how-do-i-carry-games-as-adc

Everyone on my team goes negative except me, we were behind in gold all game, score was something like 5-20 at one point, their ADC was even hitting our Nexus 5 minutes before we won.

You carry by capitalizing off their mistakes and exploiting your team comp.

I was Quinn. After I secured a lead by killing Xin, I proceeded to bully him all laning phase. I did a very different build than most ADCs who go BoRK or IE first; instead, I went BT->Tabis->Shiv for very strong sustain in lane, tankiness to avoid all-ins and Shiv for waveclear. Once I had these 3 items, I can splitpush like a boss, kite Xin until he's low, then ult/hit twice/ignite/ult again for the kill secure. Late game, with 700 MS and a 100% attack speed steroid with blind, there was no way any autoattacker could 1v1 me, so whenever I saw Xin or Kog splitpush, I'd delete them and make it a 5v4. Since no one could 1v1 me and no one could run from 700 ms + gapcloser, they were forced to stop splitpushing and start grouping as 5. This was bad, but we had multiple AOE CC ults that allowed us to catch them at strategic positions like entry to mid, which then let me and Ashe to clean up easily, and no one could dive us since Lee was a great peeler.
