As a relatively new player to this game I was looking for inexpensive champions when twisted fate grabbed my attention. I played a few games with him and couldn't really find a good role, and after doing research I found that he can play ADC. I would be very greatful for any advice you would have for me. He used to be do-able for both AD and AP, now he is only viable in AP and AD is just a gimmick that mostly doesn't work well.
You can try I guess, just build mostly more AS focused.
Na dude Twisted Fate was built for cinderhulk tank jungler. Trust me.
BT or BoRK should be first item, only get IE if you get /fed/ and can afford at least two base items before going B. Your priority is AS to get the E proc as often as possible. Treat him as an Assassin due to the R and Yellow.
A Hurricane might be viable since it'll get E more often though watch out for Thornmail.
Get Q first since that'll be your Poke/CS for a good while since your starting output and range is just abysmal for ADC.
You have better options for an ADC so I'd say he's better off going Mid AP but I've heard rumors of him being viable as a jg thanks to the range of his Q and Red/Yellow.
If you want an adc that's cheap, go for Sivir or Ashe. The new Ashe is actually really good
