Tristana is generally played as an ADC, though you could probably bring her top lane and build like Vayne or Quinn top if you really wanted to.

Poke with bomb early. Get a couple auto attack off when you land a bomb. and when you see a chance to engage do it. You have your jump if it turns ugly.
