carrying as adc

Okay so I recently finished my provisional matches and got placed in silver 5. I wanted some tips on what I can do to carry my games as an adc. I find that more often than not I am ahead or I keep up in farm even if I'm down a kill or so from a gank. During these matches I've won lane as hard carry champs for example jinx and somehow I can't find a way to win even if I win lane super hard. It seems like no matter how hard or how good I do I can't carry some games and its very frustrating. Don't get me wrong I account for my own mistakes and I'm usually pretty good at staying relevent throughout the game even if I lost lane. I just want some tips on what I can do to carry and climb in elo. I'm not a perfect player I make mistakes just like everyone else and I own up to it. It just seems like more often than not my team just does not cooperate no matter how Fed I am. Thanks for the help

As an ADC, if you cannot get your team or, hell, just your support to peel for you, chances are you won't be carrying games unless the enemy lets you split push all day every day.

Best bet is just to make sure you keep up your CS, aim for objectives over kills whenever possible, and TRY to work with your support. Silver is where I hear the game starts to get better, but the lower tiers of silver, especially S5, still has a lot of players that don't always make the best decisions.

I suck at ADC personally, although the only ADC i play is Vayne which is super hard. I'm saving up for Graves to learn ADC. I have a friend who mains ADC, he says that farm is life. I think he said 13-15 minions is worth a single kill. It's also you support's job to harass the enemy? Excuse me if I'm wrong but I'm remembering these off the top of my head.

hey as an adc main i dont want u to ignore what they said but not all of it is true. if u really want to climb in ranked playing adc u want to spam graves jinx cait lucian. they are easy hard winning champion for the most part. if u find u do really really well lane phase and not so great late game then pick cait or lucian or jinx. most of them require good early game to be good late game. if u find urself doing bad early and good late game agan jinx graves are pretty good pick. focus on cs but position yourself to get the cs and not take free poke. no when to shove and when to freeze also durring teamfights u really want to position yourself well in teamfights. just having good positoning can get u to gold quick :D goodluck

Good. CS is more important than kills, and if your opponents focus too much on the latter (and fail, if you play your cards right), they'll fall off on the former until there's enough of a difference for you to dominate lane. Anyway...

  1. Buy wards (three wards is good enough through sightstone early game, but once towers start falling you can't solely rely on the four wards between your support and you, so it's time you help out! It won't impeded your build, trust me, wards are cheap and OP).

  2. Prioritize champions you're good at over what's OP and not. Vayne isn't a good choice against Graves, but you don't have to outright pick a counter you can't play versus a reasonable adc you can play decently, like Sivir or something.

  3. Use DST liberally. Whoever gets first blood or does something cool, ride their ego. Make them play like a god.

  4. Especially in this meta, you rely on your teammates. Don't rage, don't try to 1v1 anyone even if you're fed, assume everyone and their mother can 100-0 you in two seconds so you need to survive for at least three seconds in order to defeat them. Hence, teammates.

  5. Your support is your best friend, your lover, your roommate, and family. In other words, no matter how much you hate them you'll have to live with them anyway (at least for a short while). If they don't get sightstone, don't rage. Just buy wards.

  6. Shake up your build a little if need be. Get your core items, typically the first three items plus boots, but the last two slots can be quite diverse. If you got HP tanks, consider building botrk on Jinx. Whatever you need.

  7. BOOTS. Get them.

  8. Objectives in your hand are worth more than two kills in a bush. Winning lane isn't just about taking a tower, it's about slapping a collar on that dragon. Your teammates slightly behind? Help close that gold disadvantage gap by taking a tower for some sweet, glorious global gold. Don't ignore top tower for 30 minutes if it's basically a freebie.

  9. Seriously, prioritize towers over kills. I've seen so many adc players try to poke the enemy down to dive later when the tower is literally (I use this non-ironically) two shots away from going down. Seriously. Don't be that guy.

  10. Never expect the jungler to gank for you. Winning your lane is your job. If you can't do that, do your damn well best to not lose it either. Always assume the jungler has a third summoner spell teleport, every one of your bushes is warded by the enemy, and the jungler is camping your lane with full hp and cooldowns.
