Differences with Diamonds and lower
Alright. So. I'm silver 2. I'm not claiming to be all knowing. Or any of the above. But. I did some experiments with friends (which they didnt know about.) To see if there really is this difference between Diamond players and all that which is below them.
I started with friends who were in bronze. What I did is, I would play games with them and based off how the team was doing and how I was doing I would say the typical "oh this thresh sucks" or so on and so forth. With bronze nothing exciting happened. They would sometimes do better if i kept them in a good mood or they would continue to cuss out teammates if they made a mistake. Regardless of how well the team was doing anyways. Which of course led to arguments and the likes. No surprises.
Silver was no better and no worse really. Some people were a little better. Others were almost worse. The ones who were worse almost always lost their games. Unless they were having a good day and felt nice and felt like the world deserved it. They cussed and told people to go die. ***The worst part is that nothing could change their mind and that they felt entitled to say ALL this about people. **I dont fit into that category but Im no saint either.
Gold. Gold was an eye opener for me. The people here were different. They would try and stay positive no matter what but they would have a breaking point. And i noticed i could influence this over time. In the course of a week my friend dropped from gold 1 to gold 4 and continuously messaged me about how terrible his teammates were suddenly. ***Until I had come into a game and started blaming people for mistakes that I had made, he had never blamed anyone unless he was having a terrible day.
Plat was basically the same as gold they tried to stay positive afterwards. They didnt blame as much even with me there.
Diamond. Now this is where it gets interesting. Not only did I notice that their gameplay didnt change whatsoever. But I also noticed that ***i got drastically better, within probably 3 days of playing with him. He wasnt carrying. No one else was. But my mood changed and so did my gameplay. I made good decisions. I could play smarter than I realized I could. No matter what I did to try and bring this guy down to a silver level of blaming people. He just WOULD NOT BLAME THEM. I mean. I tried. Hard. But nothing changed his mindset. He took the fall and would try and do better the next game. And he always did.
So to those of you out there who want diamond. Having different attitudes does truly help. I mean yes. Sometimes your team does bad. But there really is something you can do in your games to win. The more you realize this, the more people will appreciate how hard you tried and the better you will feel about your ability to play. Again. This is all personal opinion and I dont qualify any of it as true. But it really does seem to be something that works for those above gold. They really do try and keep that positive mentality and never let it affect their own judgements or the fact that their team is doing bad.
Anyways. Good luck and have fun guys!*********************
Edit: I didnt do play with them during ranked games! Sorry I forgot to add that in.
