Annie is also a great Yasuo counter, or in fact, nearly anyone with high mobility. The 1.5 second targeted stun (or AOE bear hug ) Can lock down enemies plenty long enough for further CC, or death. Another good one is Lissandra. That Ultimate is really annoying as a carry in teamfights. It pretty much ensures deletion of a single target (or multiples, if she ults herself, due to the slow).

Annie has always been a bigtime lane bully. She's easy and reliable, always been a counter to many assassins.

HOWEVER, Annie does have weaknesses in her kit that can be exploited, and a good Akali player can manage. It's not an impossible matchup for a good Akali player.
