Tip on game-play with Vayne? (More along the lines of grouping and teamwork)

I am an Adc, and a Vayne main, and I just feel like Vayne is not working out for me trying to climb the Solo Q ladder. I just feel like I can't do enough for my team to benefit them through the early/mid game. (Yes I know Vayne is a late game champion). So It makes me wonder if I am just playing Vayne wrong, or just the champion itself is not so viable in ranked anymore. I guess any tips for Vayne along the lines of helping my team, or grouping, would be what I am asking for. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.
