Intermediate Bots

Riven Ahri Garen Zyra There are probably going to be a lot of troll answers but here we go

So I am fairly new to the game (about a week into the game) and I have been farming bots (beginner bots that is) and so I thought I would try Intermediate bots but I have a problem of getting minion kills without taking a fist full of damage to the face by the bots

Also I have been struggling then to get bot kills because i am under leveled and without items to aid me

I normally play as Riven and Garen (But trying to learn how to use Ahri and Zyra) If you have any Tips on what to do please feel free to let me know also and builds for these champions would help a lot

I have asked a level 30 in a game once and he said as long as you don't feed there easy

One quick tip that made a world of difference to me when i was just starting (you may already know this; also this will apply more to melee champs than ahri/other ranged champs):

If you attack an enemy champion, the minions will attack you. So say you run up to get a minion and the opponent attacks you. Be aware that if you start to fight back, all his minions will attack you too. This doesn't matter much late game, but early game minion damage is substantial.

So the strategy should be wait for a minion to get low, time it so you run up hit it once and kill it, and then back off. With someone like riven you have various tricks to get in and out and shield yourself, but you'll figure that out over time.

In top lane 1v2, you pretty much give up on farm early on unless you're ranged or have ranged spell that has low mana cost. Just by staying in lane you get level advantage, and you try and kill them before they back. That should get you ahead in gold.

The Intermediate bots are MUCH more aggressive. They also have level 30 runes and masteries, so if you're not at least level 20 that can hurt early game. You'll still get full IP/XP from beginner bots until level 20, so it's fine to just keep playing those for a while.

If you're melee against a ranged champ, you have to play cautiously in lane. Once you get ahead you can usually keep snowballing against the bots, but you have to know how to play against them.

I think some good advice would be while you're still in the early stages of learning this game (Grats on chosing bots over pvp to do this!) would be to go into other roles. Try to go mid with a champ with ranged abilities or attacks. Go bottom with a high dmg ranged auto attack reliant champ. Or try to be the support role where your focus is to guard and protect and help your team, and, not so much as attacking the enemy yourself or farming for gold and xp.

Supports usefulness comes more in the form of what they do and the utility they bring, they don't rely on building attack dmg or ability power to be useful, so the items they buy are cheaper and more in line with the reduced gold income. Remember, as a duo bot lane, the less gold and xp you get as the support, the more gold and xp it means for your ad carry.

It's okay to keep playing beginner bots if the intermediate ones are too hard. It's a little hard to discourage the bots from attacking you when you're not ranged- basically, as long as they think you won't hurt them, they'll try to attack you. If you have someone in lane with you, wait for when the bots are not focusing you, and then engage on one of the bots together. Back off when they start hurting you (if you can't kill one), and then repeat the process. Once they won't bother you, THEN you can farm peacefully :P

I would avoid these bots. They are absolutely horrible to play against because their casting is super accurate. I will say I proudly have over 1k bot games lol.

Amumu Loves to jump you with his team. And I mean jump you like 4 on 1. Very frustrating and unrealistic because in pvp, people will not waste so much on one person late game.

Nunu Another jumper that times his slows and speed boosts extremely well.

Nasus If you don't deal with this one early you are doomed. The bot has near perfect cs tactics and at 30 mins in will have near perfect stacks.

Lux Ashe The worst two bots if they get a tanky team. Unlike Ezreal both of them tend to use their ults for sniping and if they have a front line of the bots above, they will send homing missiles from across the map when you get jumped to last hit you. Very frustrating.

This is harder than you think. Part of the laning phase is understanding how to trade and CS. Also depending on the lane bots are not going to teach you every well. Top lane in bots is a duo when in real games its a solo lane.

There is certain behavior for minion agro that will also tigger if you hit the enemy next to there creeps. Alot of early game damage can come from creeps.

I have no idea what level of understanding you have of the game from your post. Are you even in the right lane? ect. wish i could say more but maybe someone else can help you more.

I would say bots tend to be overly aggressive at times too.
