I need Ahri tips

This is my second account btw. I would post on my main account but I made a boo boo and tried to get free Riot Points. Don't do that or else you'll get a permaban on the boards. Friendly tip.

Anyways. I need help on how to build Ahri, what order to build the items, strategies to build Ahri, etc. A guide I guess it would be. I love playing her, so much fun.

I appreciate the help!

Just to clarify, you know how to play her and react to different lane opponents and team comps, ect , and you're just looking for itemization tips?

I've recentlly been playing alot of Ahri. I'm no expert by any means but I learned to play the champ from scratch(no video's or guides or anything) So here is some of my learned advice. In no particular order.

Ahri isnt a 100-0 champ as far as I can tell till late, against squishies. She excells at kiteing and poke though. Whittle your enemy down and either make them back or get them low enough for a kill.

Learn your orb range. Hitting them right at its peak is optimal, because it gives both the reg damage and the true damage right away. If they are closer often they get hit by the weaker exit and dodge the return.

If you dont nail your Charm, its often safer to not go in just yet. Unless you are 100% sure you can kill them anyways, hold off.

Use poke combo's. If you nail that charm, use your Q and W and maybe an AA or two, then back off. She trades will like this, but like I said she doesnt 100-0 well so your enemy will often be alive and dangerous after this, and if you didnt disengage you will get beat up badly alot of the times. Hit that combo, do your damage, then get out.

R is not just or even mainly an offensive skill. Dont be afraid to use your Ult to escape. Use it to jump to the side of a minion wave to land charm then your combo, then use your last R charge to get out safely. The damage on it isnt "ultimate" level, like alot of other champs, its not a huge power show. Its almost more important to use it for the utility and mobility it gives.

FARM. Very important to keep good farm. Dont try to be supper aggresive poking(most times) As her mana costs feel high to me, and all her stuff is skillshots, so its easy to burn that mana. And you really need to get some items to make her start doing some damage later. Take the poke when you can land your combo or sneak a Q onto them, but farm well. (Always should anyways but people are poke happpy these days.

TEAMFIGHTS. Stay our of them (locationally) If you get in the middle of the pile, you will probably die. Throw charms and Q's into closest pile, it will do more damage and help more then you may feel it does. If your R is up and you see an out of position adc or other squishy priority target, Dash around nail a combo and dash back ou. Teamfights are about kiting effectivley for Ahri, staying safe, and just adding damage and charms.

Builds, I generally item 3165 , or item 3174 if their mid is poke heavy and i want the MR. With all of Ahri's kiting item 3285 is good, cause you build up those charges pretty rapidly, and the movement speed is great on her. item 3023 Is something I use on her for the CD and more movement speed, the active is nice chasing a kill or trying to get away, has saved my ass a few times. All around there isnt anything wasted on it for ahri. item 3135 if they build alot of MR, or any time really, its a great item. item 3089 of course. On occasion I build item 3100 , the extra mana is nice, also adds movement speed. The passive is eh, depends on their team and you think its safe getting an AA in your rotation.

There could be more effective build paths, this is just what Ive been having success with

Just follow the recommended build order until you are more experienced with the game and know how to itemize properly. The recommended build order is generally good enough for most situations.

I main support, so I often build Rylai's on most mages. I always consider how well I can help my team out.

Building Rylai's on Ahri lets me slow the enemy, even if they're bunched together and I can't land a charm on the correct target. Also, foxfire procs the slow when giving chase, as well as ult charges. Sometimes when I build Rylai's, I'll pop W/Ult for the slow to make landing my charm easier.

2 dorans rings into morellonomicon pretty standard opening. your level 6 is strong enough to get a solo kill if you land your stuff in 9/10 matchups. pre6 you have a lot of kill potential if you have ignite. poke with your Q and if you get them to 2/3 hp or lower try to land a charm + ignite combo. generally happens around level 4.

if you have a tough matchup then just shove wave super hard with your Q and roam bot when you hit 6. ahri doesnt have any losing matchups because she can just shove wave and sustain in the bad ones.
