Jungle Help

So I've recently started ranked. I'm a pretty good lane player, but in the jungles, i just can't keep up. I have Fiddlesticks and Elise as my Jungle champs, but people have told me that Fiddlesticks isn't the best champ to use ( I saw InSec using Fiddle in the SHR vs OMG Worlds semi-finals though). Anyways, I wanted to get better at Elise so I could be a contender in the Jungle. Any tips/tricks to getting good with her?

Fiddlesticks can be cool, but wards make it hard for him to get off a good ult. On top of that, most teams look for a tank or pseudo-tank jungler. Don't know that much about him aside from basic stuff, so I won't bother bullshitting.

Elise is in a weird spot for a few reasons. The biggest reason is that she's a Jack of All Trades jungler. When she's buffed, she excels at everything. When she's nerfed, she's not so hot at anything. At the moment, she's on the nerfed side (My baby QQ) Regardless, she's still fun to play as you can tell. Your main goal playing Elise is to score key picks for your team (catching someone out of position to kill off and close future fights in your team's favor)

Early Jungle

  • When going through camps, toss your skills in as human form and auto until the large monster actually reaches you, then spider form and let the spiderlings tank for you
  • When you're trying to escape or gank, remember that your spiderlings are individual units, meaning you can use them as mini walls to block skills
  • When ganking with red buff, auto before you try to cocoon them. Makes things easier.
  • Don't be afraid to gank through lane by rappeling to a minion if the enemy is pushed to your teams turret and your laner has hard cc
  • Don't bother ganking before 3, but 3-6 is your prime time.
  • When both have majority of hp, Elise is the trash of the duelist community. When they're towards the lower side of the hp pool, Elise is the god of dueling.
  • In jungle skirmishes, missing cocoon is like TF pulling blue card. You ded #nopressure

Mid/Late Game

  • Elise isn't exactly 1v1 champ of the century, nor a Wukong tier team fighter. She's a pick champ, so look to do that. Grab a buddy and screw over the ones that are caught out or off to the side.

  • You'll play the role of mobile tank a lot better than the role of mage or assassin, even though you have alright damage naturally. Look to get kills on your teammates over yourself, but you don't have to be scared of taking them.

Itemization

  • Stalker's is strong for ganking and makes cocoon easier to land (and rappel harder to get out of range of), but Skirmisher's dmg reduction is nice later on for fights. Which one you get it up to you. Trailblazer is cool if you just want to stay healthy in the jungle or if you think getting counter jungled will be an issue. I don't know if poacher's is still on the recommended list, but it's a waste of gold on Elise.
  • You can get Magus Enchant with your mediocre damage scalings >.> but I'd recommend you just get juggernaut because not get crushed like irl spiders is cool.
  • Magic Pen is probably Elise's best scaling dmg stat, so ideally you want to make magic pen boots and haunting guise your priority/core items.
  • Aside from your magic pen stuff, just build general tank items based on what your team needs and the enemy team has. Locket, Frozen Heart (actually really nice for the cdr/mana), Randuins, Sunfire, Banshee's etc.

There are other fun build paths (like hybrid/atkspd Elise), but this is the standard, can't-go-wrong build path.

I get it now with the fizz jungle lol it can be fun to play and i have even tried it but that was in old s4 jungle.

Right now i own about 35 of the champs that jungle, i dont play them all great but there are a few like Sej, Cho, Trundle that i really have a lot of fun with.

Sej : With the changes to her w i had a look one game, at level 12 and with my jungle item, a warmogs and a half charged RoA i was outputting about 600 damage over 4 seconds with my w, you can literally build her full tank with armor, and mr items that also give the best health stats and literally be chunking the enemy with 800+ damage over 4 seconds after the initial damage from your w plus her slowing with e and then charge with q you tend to stick the the squishies and chunk them real quick.

Cho: another of my favs right now, apart from great sustain and tankyness in the jungle once you hit level 6 your ulti "feast" does 1000 true damage to jungle monsters and minions so you can actually eat the buff or monster before someone has the chance to smite steal it. With the change also to his ult if you do feast on the monster, minion or champion (only 300 true damage at the first level) and it kills them the cooldown is halfed from 80 seconds to 40 seconds with 0 cdr, so basically you can feast on red buff and by the time you walk over to blue buff side it is back up and you can get your 6 stacks in about 3 mins after getting your first one.

Trundle: I love trundle and he is highly underrated in the jungle, you can go tanky as hell or have some fun ad if you get ahead you can go for "Whack a Troll", basically with a BotRK and the devourer jungle item when you put your ice down and have it maxed you see your attack speed go above 2.0, once late game comes you can see it rocket to the max of 2.5 attack speed and with that you can destroy a tower from full health in less than 8 seconds (the amount of time your ice is down for) Oh and did i forget to mention his Q (Chomp)? You can chomp, minions, monsters, champions, towers, inhibs and the nexus while then watching "Whack a Troll" go to town with his club. Finally his ulti just wrecks tanks and makes the squishy carries tanke basically true damage from everyone if you ult them. Trundle can also clear the 6 jungle camps on first run with just the two starting pots no matter which side you start on.

Hope this gives you a bit more help :)

Fid jungle is fun and easy to do, you just need to make sure you watch Insec's ult spots and learn why he does that.

Elise is a very simple champion to play, and very strong. You can practice with her in ranked if you wish, if you are not comfortable yet stick to normals.

Looking at your history fizz jungle is a bad idea just for a start.

Elise is a high skill cap champion so i would suggest also practicing with her and not playing ranked with her.

Fiddles jungle can work and yes you may have seen it at worlds but also remember that was a pro player doing it and you are probably not near that standard.

So i would advise getting ww or udyr jungle to start with as they are very strong still right now, Sej and Cho are also in a really good spot right now for jungle and well Rek'sai is just crazy (i went 26/2 in a normal last night with Rek'sai)

there are many many good junglers out there but really you just need to practice before taking it to ranked.

Elise isn't good for soloq atm.

I wouldn't recommend Elise for solo que.
