Carousel Round (Suggestion / Feedback)
Although I haven't played much TFT due to the fact that I don't have time to play and learn it, I do watch a lot of it. I think this game has a lot of potential and could be the best version of Auto Chess that is out right now if it isn't already, this is coming from a DAC / Underlords player / fan.
Anyway I wanted to talk about the carousel round and what I think it could use and make more engaging for the player. I like how the integration of the courier is used in this game to make the player more immersed and able to use their courier for something else other than just moving around on the player field. I like the idea of the carousel round and what it brings to the table in it that it adds another factor to the game. Not just a factor but a fun factor at that. I was thinking that for the carousel round, maybe you could integrate something like multiple mini-games where the player has to use their courier to get a certain piece / item that they want.
For example I was thinking of something like a kind of whack-a-mole mini-game during the carousel round, where there are many dug holes in the field (as if a beaver or something were to dig a hole) and random pieces would pop out of them and you would have to try and get them. Also I think when they pop out of the holes and go back in, every time a piece comes out of the hole it would be a different piece from the one before. I know this kind of mini-game doesn't guarantee you the piece that you want, but I believe that would be the fun part to it. It would be like Mario Party where the carousel round would be many different mini-games that all of the players come to and try to get a piece that they want that isn't just from the carousel.
I think this would make the game a bit more fun and I think it would be a good addition to the game. Players would be excited for the carousel round and wonder what mini-game / type of carousel round it is. This would make using the courier even more engaging for the players and definitely would be more fun to use for when the carousel round does come around.
Some examples of mini-games that I thought of are:
-
Whack-A-Mole (Pieces pop out from various holes on the field and are randomized each time they pop out and you would have to catch them)
-
Face Down Cards (Chess Pieces are shown on cards at the beginning and then scrambled in a pattern where they would have to watch and memorize where their chess piece that they wanted ended up and then the cards are laid face down on the field where they would have to find and/or guess where their chess piece that they wanted ended up. This would be something like the ball under the cup where you would see the ball go under the cup and the cups get moved around and you would have to guess which cup the ball is under.)
These are the only ones I thought of right now. Sorry for the huge description on the face down cards one but it is fairly simple. If you guys think this would be a good idea / addition to the game let me know and even suggest some other mini-games that could be implemented for the carousel round.
