What I've Found to be Unbalanced

I just want to preface this post by saying that in 8 years of playing this game, I have never once complained about balancing. Sure there have been champions that I thought were OP, but never so much so that I was unable to play the game anymore.

The TFT meta is actually awful. Over half the comps are unplayable because they just can't match up against the good comps. I personally don't really want to play TFT anymore because I don't really enjoy being forced to play the same 2-3 comps every match.

This game is very unbalanced and the devs should focus more on good gameplay instead of continuously added content to keep the game relevant (just look at Overwatch and how badly that game bombed when they did this)

That being said here's why I think this:

  1. Demons they can be really good or really bad. They're good against 1-3 very specific teams and just a waste of slots against every other team (specifically thinking, good against nobles & shapeshifters, bad against most other comps.) We'll get to how un-fun swain is later.

  2. Nobles -Early Game: Vayne: needs attack speed items but is still pretty bad, Fiora: just bad unless she's level 2 and then she's still bad but a better damage sponge, Garen: good with another knight and for frontline-ing (a pretty good unit), Lucian: is good but only with at least 1 item (similar to vayne), Leona: low chance of getting her, good but not great without another guardian, Kayle: no way you're getting her early -Mid Game: You now have 3 nobles on board for the buff but you have to waste spots in your bench holding the other nobles until they're either level two or you get that second guardian so you can put leona in (you're still probably holding fiora and a bunch of level one units on your bench) -Late Game: If you've gotten a kayle you've probably won, unless the enemy is play glacials or heavy cc/burst

  3. Glacials -If they have glacials you've probably lost no matter what team you have. One of two things are going to happen: 1. Your team is frozen the whole fight and you get the wonderful (<-sarcasm) experience of sitting back and watching your extremely powerful team do nothing as they die 2. You burst them down and if by some heaven-sent luck your burst champions don't get frozen you need to kill them before the fight drags on or outcome #1 happens. -This is very poor design since there is no counter to being frozen and it completely takes control away from the player

  4. Two demons in particular -Swain - This one unit will single-handedly win you the game. He's almost guaranteed to get 2 ults off in a round (unless you kill him before his first ult) and if you give him a gunblade or dragon's tooth you're not going to kill him. -Evelynn - She can one-shot most level 1 units, take half the health of level 2 units, and she has an escape AND de-aggro (for those of you that don't know what this means, it means the enemies stop targeting her) every time she ults... oh and she's also a demon so she's going to be mana-burning and damaging the unit trying to kill her. I can't fathom what the devs were thinking giving a champion an execute and extra damage on autos.

  5. While we're talking about unbalanced units -have any of you actually seen a pantheon die? (excluding the times when he's solo or surrounded) It's very easy to get him dragon buff or any of the tank items and make him mostly unkillable. -level 2 kayle, can we please just increase the shield duration instead of making the 2 most focused units unabled to die.

  6. Wild is bad in almost every situation, Same with 4 ninja's because they have terrible composition synergy

There's many more un-balanced things like items dropping from the first minion round, etc. but I think I've made my point. The strongest comps are un-fun, there's many weak types/traits. [zombie-brand-clap]

And dont forget to add that seju, liss and ashe are freezing with abilities on top of freezing from synergy bonus. I dont know who thinks that group with most stunners need passive aa stuns as bonus. Glacial have no weakness they have damage dealers, stunners and quite tough frontline to crack.

Nobles have already been nerfed and they don't have damage. I think they are OK now. IMO Kayle is not OP.

Glacials are very strong only if 2 stars Ashe has some items. Disable/shutdown/assassinate Ashe and they lose. Without Frozen Mallet Is hard to make 6 glaciars. Also they are weak vs sorcerers.

Every time I met Evelyn she didn't get to use her ability second time. Seams to be OP.

Wild has a nice synergy with Sorcerers and very strong with Shapeshifter (Nidalee + Gnar) Actually 7 units can create 4 synergies: 4 Wild, 3 sorceres, 3 Shapeshiter, 2 dragons. IMO Wild is the best origin/class.

Late Game: If you've gotten a kayle you've probably won, unless the enemy is play glacials or heavy cc/burst

Redbuff gunslingers or aoe with morello counter them. Not as hard as before, but still quite hard. And guardians are weaker now if you don't get 3rd one

-Swain - This one unit will single-handedly win you the game. He's almost guaranteed to get 2 ults off in a round (unless you kill him before his first ult)

Without some mana items or demon buff procs he will most probably die first, or will be the last one standing against enemy team. But yeah, stacked with deathcap, yuumi and a tank item he can solo win the fight if he actually ults. Also he sometimes ults when only 1 enemy is in range, which results in wasting the ult

Evelynn

I saw her failing to kill her target (Jinx) with her ult. She then picked another target, and 10%hp Jinx survived, got 2 takedowns and wiped the enemy team, that was nice. Same problem with Pyke, but at least he stuns everyone. Anyway, I didn't see even one successfull comp with Eve since demon rework

have any of you actually seen a pantheon die?

I had. But yeah, his ult just lasts for so long, and it removes aggro from him, so he usually dies last.

level 2 kayle

She takes too much time to charge her ult without items, but if you somehow get yuumi, shojin and rageblade on her, its almost autowin. Of course this requires actually getting lvl2 kayle in the first place. The only time I got lvl2 kayle I got her shojin and rageblade and I lost because zephyr randomly chose her 3 times in a row so she didn't ult fast enough

Something I learned about Kayle: Unlike every other champ in the game she gets mana while her ult is out. I had a game where a Kayle with RFC and SOS had her ult on basically full time. That needs to change. But most level 2 5g units are going to be OP.

Most of the problem with this game is the RNG in the traits. Dodge chance on yordles, freeze chance on glacials, etc. There has to be RNG in drop types and shop offers, but there doesn't have to be RNG in trait payoffs. Or round 1 gold drops. I get 3 gold and an item and someone else gets up to 4 items? Yes I've gotten 4 items from round 1 before!

The big problem with glaical is the synergies it has with its units. Voli can chain stun entire teams and Ashe with a single AS item can permastun a target all game long, especially if she gets Ranger buff. AND it's even got a class item so you can put it on, say, Lucian with a runans and SoS and just chain stun everyone with that.

Also a new problem I've noticed is Warmogs on Gnar/Shyv. I played against a 3 item gnar yesterday that had warmogs and 12000 HP!

Personally I haven't really found demons (the class) or nobles to be particularly problematic, outside of the early game domination nobles gets from all of their early picks. And while the demon buff hasn't been very impressive the units are pretty silly. I've seen Aatrox and Eve win rounds on their own.

A solution is to play Yordles. They beat everything except sorcerers (or magic dealers). This is not good.
