Iam from EU and yea - there are already tons of threads about this.

But best case scenario is to not stop the flood of threads, that adress rng with items.

We have rng with champions - thats fine. Somehow its more about gold-management and a healthy amount of rng.

But the items...

... the items. There must be a complete rework on how you get items. AND the same amount for everyone.

Please change this, please hear this, please accept this.

I love tft. Its supposed to be more strategical as league but right now - if everyone knows what to do - its about dices, far away from strategic. And there is comming a ranked mode... ranked wouldnt be necessary at all if they wont drasticly change it.

EU Boards feel left with dust, so... i hope riot is going to change it quick.

I wholeheartedly agree; I don't mind the RNG of the Champions, you get the same Champs rolled for free each round, and good money management/planning can help against bad Champ RNG. But there's nothing you can do about items. Some people get two or more completed items by the end of the first 3 rounds of creeps and some will get only their starting item. There's nothing you can do about this, no amount of planning or tactics can help.

Even for champions, it is not very healthy. Someone has 5x3* champs, someone keeps rerolling and gets nothing.

The items are the biggest flaw there, for sure. It's absurd how bad people can work on a (new) game, after having destroyed an old one.

Still, champions are too random as well: who gets the most busted first, gets an incredible advantage.

I agree that items are the only RNG issue. Champion RNG can (should) be worked around by strategically choosing what champions to amass, but there's very little counterplay to someone have 5 items to your 0. I think the solution is pretty simple though. Hide a fixed number of items connected to a random enemy for each round, and grant the item if that enemy is killed during the round. If you fail to kill one or more of the enemies, you may not get the item(s) for that round. Randomness in the specific item you receive still allows for decision making and potential shifts in strategy.

I would be perfectly fine with a bit of random on the items if they made it somewhat consistent with the amount each player got. I.E. Minion waves 1 -3 each gave one item each (these items would be random, but you would still get 3 items), Krugs/Wolves waves would give 2 items, Dragon 3 items, etc. That would make sure that even though the items you got were somewhat random that you would at least get the same amount of items as everyone else.

A rioter said that RNG is good for the long term of TFT, and that they do like it for various reasons. They said however, that they will be addressing super detrimental RNG like getting 0 items.

Riot probably purposely fked the item drop rate just to piss us off, just like how they purposely fked the solo que normal matchmaking just to piss us off. like why am i always getting 1 or 0 items per camp while i see other people getting 4 items EVERY FKING CAMP????

I would just be happy if the person who won didn't always have the same heros.. That might be a good start. This feels like just a poor copy of another game, no rank at all, items all messed up. I thought they tested this on the test server, why is this POS even live?

Oh yea they can't get their money on the test server.. so standard Operating procedure then.
