I have not been able to get top 4 ever since ranked started

I seem to do so well in normals before the patch hit, but now every game I cannot get more than 5th place. What am i doing wrong? I don't know how others make it look like 3 starring a unit is so easy, but i just can't seem to do it even when I'm rolling early for the lvl 1s when no one was contesting the units. Also I tried the meta comps plus the flexible comps, but all the efforts to think of comps with lvl 2 units just can't compete with those with lvl 3s. It's so frustrating for a game mode that's not supposed to cause stress.....
