How do the "use 20 xxx, or use 10 xxx" quest count, like seriously I don't understand

I was doing the "use 20 Sorcs or 10 Elementalists chess" quest. Literally got Kassadin after the first neutral round 1-2, got him to *2 at 2-2 and placed him into play until I got knocked out at 5-2.

But in the end the progress only goes from 0/20 to 3/20.

Is there something I'm missing or what?

Like wtf? Seriously how do Riot count those chess usage? Did I misunderstand or is sth?

Each sorcerer you place on the board counts towards the mission.

A 2☆ counts as 3 units.

You have to wait till the game fully ends (after 1st place is decided) before you get credit for the missions.

It still feels like a bugged system, even in Set 2, keep getting issues with the count being too low than it should.
