Hextech is really bad for this game:

What this is going to do with 100% certainty is pigeon hold players to specific builds. Builds that used to rely on handling the initial brute force damage through use of items (Guardian Angels) are ripped apart within 1 second... Kennen is no longer useful not only do you maximum get 1 to 4 on any average game... but now you can't use GA on him for example...

This will force players to basically aim for 6 bruisers to be able to handle the health needed to tank the walls, and then hextech to nullify the other teams items... basically throwing 1 bad item on the front line of your team, and stack the rest of the items in the rear.

This is such a TERRIBLE design choice and I am not going to be playing this game until this is resolved and you sort this out. This should NEVER have made it out of testing.

I'm positive resident trolls will come and tell me how wrong I am or whatever. So go hard boys.

Hextech is awful in every possible way. Combined with the item lottery and the annoying carousel, I'm just done with this nonsense. At least until they drastically change things.

I've tried to play a couple games, but everyone is running hextech pretty much, which really ruins the fun of this autochess version. The main thing that really stood out tft from others was that items played a pretty big part of it compared to the others I played. I really loved it! Now, with hextech it just feels like it took that out, so now it is honestly a less enjoyable verysion. Its just like, "yes!!, I got some items that makes a certain champ work..... oh, now I am facing hextech". It honestly makes it feel like it don't have any option except not run things that don't work with more than one item. Just not enjoyable at all.

Yeah, TFT is pretty much ruined for me now. Riot very well may have just flat out removed items from the game. I'm not sure what the hell they were thinking, I swear the Hextech passive is just Cursed Blade 2.0, it just goes so much against the grain of the game.

It's amazing how Riot managed to take one of the best games i've played in years and make it unplayable in just 2 months

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Naw, it's fine.

The only situation where hextech fucks someone behind is when there's a single item. What this does is instead makes it that corner comp hypercarries now have a more steady counter than "hope you can cut through the meatwall to get to the gooey Draven center".

The ideal situation will be that people who rely heavily on a single itemed-up hypercarry to win the game for them are hardcountered by this. It'll also mean the game becomes less about who has more/better items and who has the better comp. Players will also flock to hextech but considering the confusing mix of units to run (Brawler/gunslinger is about the best combo you can get), hextech will likely lose more games while good players who know how to position and deal with the hextech bomb can thrive.

But guys don't you love RNG mechanics -riot games.

Teh Song8/14/2019, 4:16:58 PM3 votes

Can we maybe give it more than less than a day before such major judgement -_-

And of course everyone is trying to build hextech right now, they're brand new. This is going to happen with every new class/origin they add.

Hextech is unfun. Gooled it just to see if other people agreed. I love TFT, but man. Cool builds just go out the window. Hope this doesn't stay.

initialbc8/17/2019, 4:25:28 AM2 votes

There are too many denial elements in the game. Its like point and click stuns.. but hope for rng.. pls put stuff in that feels SMART to build like healing debuff (though that should not be 100% reduction)

Teh Song8/15/2019, 12:00:33 AM2 votes

Just for the record, your claim that the hextech buff targets the closest enemy was proven false in my first match. Remember how you were saying people should stack items with items spread across frontline, so it would hit them and leave your carry alone? Well I had hextech buff, my enemy had items all over their frontline that was right next to my people, and the hextech bomb sailed all the way over to the opposite corner and hit their assassin. It doesn't target the closest enemy, it targets at random.

So, I found out last game that if you build 1 locket and 2 zeke's heralds on a single champion and you run into an enemy with hextech, the hextech will completely nullify the Zeke's and lockets. This makes them completely useless items now since you have to stack them on one unit because of the dumb ass line restriction they patched in a couple of patches ago. With no way to break the item back down into components, I'm stuck with a team and items that are now worthless, less than worthless because I have to watch that r%%%%%ed ass bomb lose me the round before the match even begins. I knew Riot games would find a way to Riot games TFT before long, but I didn't think that it would happen within 2 months of the damn game mode being released.

I LOVE BEING FORCED TO PLACE MY GUYS IN A R%%%%%ED WAY THAT MAKES THEM VULNERABLE TO EVERY OTHER COMP ON THE OFF CHANCE I GO UP AGAINST A HEXTECH 2. AND HEXTECH 4, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THAT? THATS NOT FUN. RIOT YOU TOOK MORE OUT OF THE GAME THAN YOU ADDED WITH THIS HEXTECH BULLSHIT. AND FUCKIN NERF BRAWLERS PLZ WHAT THE HELL HOW IS THAT BALANCED? 7000 EXTRA HP FOR LITERALLY NOTHING. NOTHING.

trashbagz8/14/2019, 5:17:11 PM1 votes

Imagine playing a game mode where you do nothing 🤡

Smyrage8/15/2019, 7:47:44 AM1 votes

Uhm guys, let's stop for a moment. Hextech builds were meant for shutting down hypercarry compositions, meaning those compositions which rely a lot on stacking items on a single champion are now more vulnerable. You all kept crying about item RNG and now you cry about that Riot gave something to negate it temporarily? :D I mean seriously, I don't agree with Riot balance at all, but this Hextech champion line is actually neat and necessary. Also certain other compositions basically nullify the threat from others.

Like: Demon build makes it impossible to fully utilize Shapeshifters, Sorcerers and Elementalists; championlines which rely a lot on casting abilities. Or Yordle builds nullifying the threat from auto attack reliant compositions, such as Gunslingers, Blademasters and Rangers.

Yeah, it might suck that your hypercarry Draven suddenly became useless, but then you can still switch strategy.

KingSlushee8/18/2019, 2:46:10 AM1 votes

I disagree with this post 100% for the most part. hex has forced people to use more strategy than just throw 3 items on one dps and protect the karthus (obviously an example). teams with beefier frontlines wont fall so easily to hex just saying. I dont think the game in general is perfectly balanced yet, but i love hex

BringItBritney8/19/2019, 8:13:38 AM1 votes

Riots balance team is complete shit.

SilIoH8/21/2019, 6:33:32 PM1 votes

Trash balance team as always.

Dotislav8/23/2019, 8:25:11 PM1 votes

Hextech basically ruin all team comps that run and rely on spatula upgrades

holystack8/24/2019, 3:01:38 AM1 votes

Tbh, it's even worse if you have Guardians on your team, since they have to stack up close to each other for the buff to spread. Hextech is guaranteed to fuck over a few people on your team lmao
