Few golds instead of item ?

Dropping golds instead of item from monsters it’s a big disadvantage. 3-5 golds is nothing compare to one item. Seriously I would give 50 golds for a random item. All players should have the same number of items. Variety is good, but I like more strategy than luck/ bad luck.

Please don’t turn this game into a Dizzy-Dice game.

Instead of dropping gold it should increase income. That way it still has a constant effect on the game rather than a small boost.

They're at least increasing the amount of gold on 1 item starts which are the worst (3 GP + item) and you can actually make plays with 9 gold and still do good against 1 item starts and some 2 item starts. If someone gets 3-4 items at start then they have a free early game.

I think they should reduce what the high roll is and/or increase the minimum. Which considering gold a resource you can measure vs items, they could come up with an amount that seems like fair compensation. Items often win rounds better overall so they're desirable and even if you low roll you should still have enough items to powerspike a unit or two to keep up.

I'm ok with there being variables in the game like that, things like Underlord's system work but I also like DAC just having it to where players who die splash items and your comeback mechanic is surviving and having components rain on you if you're lucky. However TFT has the most broken items of all these games so there needs to be some kind of compensation/balancing mechanic.
