I'm still amazed I placed 4th using ocean

I didn't even get a nami or lux, I basically had everyone else. My strongest was 3 star glad with static siv, iconic spark and cloud buff along with 3 star thresh with infinity edge, giant slayer and spear of shojin (I think). Everyone else was 2 stars with a like a 1 star or 2 since I was lvl 6. Ocean isn't even that strong of a comp since it also gives mana to allies. You could argue that because thresh and nautlius were on the board that I had warden, but only 2 into warden doesn't do much and I had mage, but I didn't have the full buff into effect because I would have needed one more. :/

This brings up the question, have you won with any weak comps?

Ocean by itself is weak, but tbh I have placed top 4 and up several times using Ocean + mages + summoners using Azir as carry.

It's not as strong as other origins, but I do think it deserves more credit than it gets.

Yeah I agree. Ocean is better with certain comps, mostly toward mages or champs who use mostly mana. It's not bad, but really on its own its not ideal. I can see ocean also being good with infernal and possibly glacial. Most infernals are mana heavy champs to begin with, so paring that up might not be bad, considering with the right set up infernals are strong, not as strong as light, but strong.
