Glacial and how it ruins strategy

Think about it. Say you have a really good team, you're playing extremely well and keeping your economy in check. You have 3 level 3's because you were smart and bought what was given to you, without having to force a synergy. Your items aren't the best but you have them on the champs that need them most.

You're put against someone with 6 glacial champs that also have multiple guinsoo's due to lucky rng. Your frontline tanks are stunned for 5 seconds at a time. They get melted due to not being able to move, attack, use abilities, and so on. The enemy ashe looks at you're backline's general direction and they also get stunned instantly. You lose without even being able to take down a single enemy champ. They spam emotes and dances, which are not muteable. (I think)

The moral of the story is no one likes glacial, there is no counterplay, and I've tried. I've tried every single synergy i could think off, and I'm starting to think the only way to combat this titanic iceberg is just to build glacial yourself.

There is no counterplay,

There is no having fun,

There is just sitting still, staring into your computer screen with a dead expression, watching your carefully built and strong team get meme'd on by icecubes.

Maybe if glacial did something like lower attack speed, that would be at least something you could fight back with, but instead you just get stunned every 3.6 seconds with absolutely no chance to fight back, and it's kinda upsetting.

Also I saw in PBE that random item drops are guaranteed on neutral rounds, that's the kinda improvement I like to see! :D Now just to rework glacial and maybe remove work on pyke and aurelion sol, we'll have a more enjoyable version of TFT in no time! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Also plz revert yordles percent chance to miss those rounds are just pure rng. I've been top of the game multiple times just to lose to the bottom of the leaderboard because my draven wanted to miss the lulu or veigar ten times in a row. :(

LOL, you angry about yordles cause you can't ride the most broken champ to victory? If you build a good team Yordles are very beatable. If you just cheese strat and your team is just a meat shield for Draven, then you deserve it. If you have Draven grab something that also casts that synergized like Swain. They can't dodge skills, just AAs.

I agree that glacial is really obnoxious. I think it is a good concept of freezing, but too many loopholes that can get the freeze to almost perma lock teams. Things like hurricane where the sideshots also apply the freeze make it broken. If they just make it only apply to direct attacks and not any mods, then it would be much more doable.

True, Glacial (and Noble) comps are super lame and make most teams insta lose.

I usually only win late vs them by making Graves an assassin with Youmuus in an Assassin/Gangplank comp, so he's able crit 4 units for 1k dmg 2 times in a row, oneshotting most of their frontline so the rest of the team can focus the Rangers, and even then I might just get unlucky with Graves eating a random Ashe basic at the start and my team getting permastunned and steamrolled on the spot.

Eh, this shouldn't be the focus in my opinion.

Right now it seems like there is a polarizing meta around assassins or dodge/stun comps and nothing inbetween.

I think other synergies need to become either more accessible or more powerful to compete. Like, how many people do you see going Blademaster for example?
