Experience With TFT Yesterday
I hadn't played ranked in a while. I was just having fun in normals. But yesterday I decided to play ranked to see if I could reach platinum. I started off pretty well. Two 1st place back-to-back. I got items and eventually I was able to build a working composition. The next two games, I wasn't able to find any items or champions to win. To note, I know how to pivot. There is nothing substantial that I could pivot into (no annies or yoricks, no items for khazix, couldn't get any tears for seraphs, didn't have any items for blender). I got 6th and 5th place. That's fine, I just got two first place. The next two games I got 4th place. Not bad, the other players got luckier than I did (t3 units plus ocean lux and crystal synergy, I went blender and got noc items, but couldn't find sivir items). The other game, I did pretty well, but the matchmaking system was pretty troll. There were four players left. I could have put in mystic to counter the ap composition, but I had expected to fight the blender player because I only had played them once in that entire game, so I put in taric instead so I could counter their damage. But nope, I got the inferno player, who I had played a few times already. Fairly unlucky, I didn't like this. I won the next game. Decent items. I found a composition. The next game I got 5th place, not bad, but my early game items and units were so bad that I couldn't do anything. There were also two blender players who got 1st and 2nd place. The next game, I got 7th place. That game was so terrible, I started off with a glove, then I got a negatron and a chain vest from creeps. I picked up tears from the carousel for seraph's embrace, which is a pretty good pivot item, then I got one bow and gold from krugs. If I remember this game, I couldn't even make it to the wolf round. The next game after that, I had another bad start. I'm willing to admit that I pepegaed a little bit (I lost when I hadn't scouted the board for zephyr). But I also got a frozen heart from krugs, and the other players hit more of their units and had some t3. So basically, I get a very bad start and can't find any carry unit, then I finally get something sort of decent, but I make 1 mistake and I can't restrategize because I only have 10 hp. So it's mostly because of the game rng that I was knocked out and unable to do anything. hahaha
I mean, at the the end of the day, I netted 75 lp, but it seems kind of pointless when I am able to get games where I'm unable to do anything because of the rng. Okay, the games I did well, good job rng. The games I did poorly, dangit rng. I could easily lose more lp if I keep getting bad starts and items. That's just too much anxiety for a silly rng game. xD
