Would be awesome if 2 star and 3 star units looked different from 1 star units. For example if 2 star darius looked like god-king and 3 star looked like dreadnova. something to give a feeling that its a 3 star unit. the gold plating is cool but kinda not giving me the feel of "yeah thats a 3 star unit"
I actually have this expectation that they're going to release the 2 and 3 star variants as chromas as rewards.
i heard they are planning to use champion skins as new champion
ex : 
could be new champions using their king skins instant of base and using their ultimate instant of the spins
While me might get some alternate 3-Stars eventually, I dont think they go for the skins.
Skins right now also determine the Champions class. (Pirate for TF) And I'm quite sure that's what they plan to do in future updates. Use skins to alter a Champions class.
I.E. Dragon Swain instead of Demon, Robot Aurelion instead of Dragon, Noble Aatrox instead of Demon - you get the idea. ^^
