Are Copy Teams Weaker than Real Teams?

I had heard that copy teams are weaker from a video I had watched so I just went by that logic. However, me and my friend got in an argument today on if copy teams are actually weaker than real teams. I tried to search it up but I couldn't find what "copy teams" are actually called. I mean RIot Games wouldn't implement a mechanic that has no name and even if they did the community would give it one right? I couldn't find anything so I'm going to ask the board. I would really love it if Riot gave a "help" feature for teamfight tactics but such thing does not exist. A player has to play the game with no prior knowledge besides maybe watching friends or videos, but that's a whole different topic in general.

I thought the clones were weaker in the part where they don't get any origin/classes synergy. It's just playing against raw units and items.

Why would they be? The only difference that Riot noted is damage calculation: If you lose, you take damage as usual, if you win, they don't take damage because they are already in another fight.

They are weaker. You can watch for a team with the two dragons to confirm that they aren't magic immune (look for lack of red bubbles). I've also seen unit missing an item that the player team had. It could be buggy seeing that it's still beta.
