I'd rather get out of a dead match where I can't get a single fucking synergy roll or luck out and grab a single good tier 2 while the enemy gets 3 god-roll items on a tier 2 hypercarry while also having 3 different fucking synergies.
You can do it in normal, you should be able to do it in Ranked.

Can't really because it doesn't know the rank you would finish at to calculate points. They could implement it where a forfeit puts you at the lowest rank at the time to keep people from abusing it.

I don't know if it's necessarily wise to just give up. Especially at higher MMR when you're losing substantially more than you're gaining. Even so, the surrender option I don't think appears until those lucky turds are getting their 2-star cho-gaths and kayles at start of 3-1.

Yeah they should definitely add it. I've had games where I literally cycled around every pair and had 1 2-star by krugs with no items. I definitely would use it scarcely to salvage LP loss, but there's 100% those moments where I want out.

But in ranked you honestly should never quit early.
When you low roll your goal should be to finish 6th-4th.
Which is very possible in all elos
Edit: actually i think i can see a problem with it, on second thought i would prefer that you couldn't. Someone could duo Q with someones smurf account then FF effectively making it a 7 man lobby and boosting his buddy 1 ranking high each game.
