Let's get off the items bandwagon

I hate to say it, but the system the way it is is how it's going to be.

If you feel like items are causing your losses and you win more than 50% of the time, then all you're doing is identifying the obstacle you need to overcome to win more than 50%.

And if you feel that way and lose more than 50% of the time, well, the people in option A, who are also in this conversation, put most of the burden on you to win more than lose so you can see issues a little better. We're not all on the same page it sounds like.

items are extremely important dude. if you cant build the proper items to compliment the cards youre being dealt, you are literally screwed.

I never said they weren't important. I said they're not at fault for a <50% win rate. And from experience, the item issue isn't having an impact on my 1-3rd wins. I am still winning 1-3 at a decent enough rate despite how I might miss items and still don't know what's best to do with them when I do get them. So, if I, someone who would be most likely to lose to item factors, is telling you that items aren't an issue, they aren't an issue. They may need some balance to even out how well some perform, but in general, I disagree with anyone saying the gold vs. items feature is a problem to their winning potential.

People need something to blame their losses on

"Its not that i failed to econ well and rerolled at terrible times and placed my units wrong, as well as didnt switch to a better comp when i should have realized everyone else already took draven, its that i didnt get enough bows!"

However, there are absolutely times you should expect to lose to RNG. And being on some kind of winning streak in games overall, I expect to see some games where I don't get anything at all of use, so the best I can do is lose in first place. For me, I get my validation that I did the best I could given what I had, so I just lose because I have to in order to balance the game, if and only if I lose in 5th place. And then other times, I look at that loss and realize just how utterly terrible I did. I might have also lost because of that. So I guess I don't have to worry about the game doing it for me all the time?

Sure, sometimes you just get a bad setup. It happens, even in professional card game tournaments. (Exodia decks suck ass.... Until they dont)

But theres more than enough skill expression for this to not be a large reason for losses
