Spectating TFT

I'm trying to spectate my friend's TFT game right after he got into a game, but I can't and that confuses me.

I believe this should be a feature since there's no possible way to cheat for them since you can see everyone else's boards already, and it's just a 1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1.

Is this already a feature or is there a 3 minute delay? If there is a 3 minute delay, why can't this be changed to a 30 second delay or no delay at all (specifically for TFT)?

(edited) I found out I can't spectate TFT at all, no matter the time in the game. Can this please be changed?

I agree, I don't understand why this isn't a feature. In Dota Underlords you can spectate easily. I was really hoping this would be a feature since it is a feature in Dota Underlords. As you said, there is no way to cheat if everyone can see everyone else's boards.

Riot, please make this a feature. D:

Riot was too busy ignoring bugs and community feedback about the game while they pushed it into ranked prematurely to even worry about something like spectating.

I actually agree with what they did from a developers point of view. Moreover, Ranked is taken seriously by people and that would mean that people would be more inclined to report a bug or an issue.

there is no developing perfection and then pushing it out in cloud based programmes. users need to fix it for you by telling you whats wrong. the number of scenarios that can happen can not be tested locally. Unless the game is released to public and played "seriously" for a while it will not be "bug free" ( this is the dream but I've never seen it... lol) or no bugs impacting game play mechanics. visual bugs will always be there and can be taken care of later.

ps. it all depends on The order of the code in terms of which bugs should be resolved first.

This is my point of view, I don't know if riot actually intended this or not.

I also don't understand why this isn't a feature... more people should be talking about this. Its very frustrating not to be able so spectate these especially in a strategy based game where you can observe how different matches interact with each other.

I believe you could have somewhat of an advantage by being able to look at others boards while your buddy is building. If they are worried about this they should just make it so you can only view your friends board that your spectating. Its a little bit annoying not being able to spectate. <3

I mean you can look at boards freely so its not an advantage

Yes indeed, you can look at the boards without a problem, but it would give an unfair advantage for the buddy you're playing with because there would be 4 eyes crawling the boards instead of two, basically, it's twice the information.

game could be on delay, just Summoners Rift games are on 5 minute delay. It should be good enough to not be given too much of info I guess?

Yeah, but your information would be close to useless to your buddy, because you would have to tell them literally every character and their position on opponents board for them to have any significant advantage. Yes, you could cheat, but it would take so much work, and just delaying the spectator by 10 or 15 seconds would significantly decrease cheating, because you need all of your set up time to buy and search, and them not being in sync could really destroy your positioning.

fun part, if you are premade and lose , you can "keep watching" and giving info realtime to your premade , at this time , its realy only usefull for blitz positioning or kassa ( against frontlanes that want to use ult seju-leon-etc) . this mean that premades have already this advantage . i often talk about my adversary setup to my premade , what most of them are picking . if the reason for not there being a spectate its the information advantage , then there should not be premade in ranked .

Yet this can already be done, in a sense, say if I were to queue with my friend, I lose early, and I just stay spectating the game instead of exiting, then the same advantage exists now that you are describing there.
