Yes hahaha my name is Elementalist Lux and she is TfT, cool so now that we got that out of the way I would really appreciate it if a Rioter ar someone would give me some insight on how Lux works in TFT, i understand she has all her different forms thats great. my question is whether i need to get 3 specific Dark Lux's to get a T2 Dark Lux OR will 3 Lux's give me a T2 and i get to pick which form it is based off the ones i combined. Im really confused bc as a 7 cost unit i feel like it will be rare to find, let alone 3 of a single type.

An alternative option would be that upon purchasing Lux you are prompted to select which form you want that way you could pick the one that best fits your comp while also being able to upgrade it if you see future ones.

Love the game, friends flame me for liking it and im super pumped for the second season :D I really hope someone can get back to me

Here is the way I understand it by making certain assumptions: Assumptions (might be off since I have not seen Patch notes for this)

  1. There are 10 lux units in the game (just like all other 5 costs)
  2. Percentages to appear are the same as all other 5 costs for each level.

Now based on these assumptions this is how luc works

  • You can roll any avaialabe Lux element with an equal percentage for each element.
  • Available elements are elements that other players have not picked up or that are not on their current roll.
  • Once you pick her up, and she is on your bench that element become unavailable to other players until you sell all of the Lux you have or you die.
  • Once you have a Lux you can only roll that element unless you sell all the Lux you have. If you sell them, you can roll other elements again.
  • All the lux are shared in a pool of 10 Lux (only 3 people can 2 star any lux), this is bases on assumption number 1.

I think this would make the most sense, but I don't know if it is 100% accurate, especially the 2 assumptions (There could be less luxes than legendary units, percentages could be different and the Lux pool is maybe individual instead of shared...)

I hope I explained it well and any comments are appreciated.

I’d hope she would be as strong as at least a 2 tier or maybe a 3 tier if she’s gonna be a 7 cost unit :/

I'm pretty sure each player spins a version of Lux individually, 10% chance for each since there's 10 forms. However once a form is decided its always the same form. Its similar to Qiyana but Qiyana is tied to whatever the map is. Lux meanwhile is for each player. I saw a Light form pop up twice earlier while playing wheras watching Diguised Toast play he only found Ocean Lux and he had an opponent with only Inferno Lux.

There may be something that motivates which one you get other than pure random chance, but just from what I can tell that's how it works. You won't have a situation where you're trying to find several types of Luxes, its still the same unit. As for odds, she seems to show up about as often as a 5cost. I'm guessing she has the same number of copies as that pool does?
