A Good Way to Remove Some Early Game RNG

Essentially, TFT is amazing, and really fun to play, HOWEVER, one thing that can be aggravating is when one player gets 3-4, or even 5 or so items within the first 3 minion PvE fights, before even getting to the first PvP match, while you don't get a single item, or so. I know Riot has been stating that RNG is probably good for this game mode in long term, but I think that ONLY RNG you should have with item drops should be "Which item will you get?", and not "Will I get an item at all?".

So, a good way I think that would be to balance this very start is to make it so that PvE matches always grant an item. And only one. Meaning that only one minion is always gonna hold one of the starting items (only RNG here should be what items you get) every match in the first three matches, so when you get to the first enemy player, you'll have 4 items, no more, no less. (1 from the start from the champ you picked, and the other 3 from the PvE matches) And maybe make it so that one of the Krugs also only gives 1 item, and that one of the Raptors (maybe the biggest one) has one, and that the Epic Monsters like Herald and Dragon ALWAYS give 1 fully made item. That way, every player will get items, but the RNG will be in what items they get, so they no longer will be able to whine about not getting them, and have to use their wits to figure out how to make the items they got work.

I think this would be a VERY welcome change.

but it's still rng cause it could be something that your champs don't want or put priority on.

it's not "more fair" or less "RNG"

right now tbh there are choices to be made on what you will do with the components and that's imo one of the most important things early, like if you are rushing to build any ol' item after your first round then the problem stops becoming about rng and more about you and your decisions.

giving 1 person a rageblade and then giving a different team lets say a redemption doesn't mean that you did either of them a service, in fact you did quite the opposite cause what could've taken that 1st player more time to build you gave it to them right away and you put them at a advantage over the poor fool who got the redemption

i would honestly not worry too much about early game; provided you take your time and plan out how you are going to use your other resources, if you are only looking for the power picks and the power item components then i think that's when it's really about you and less about the rng.
