How is Nasus not a Desert?!?

I get the irony of making a God a 1 gold champion but really Riot, how is he not a desert? Make him 5 gold, give him a 3rd synergy and Honor the Sand God that he is.

They intentionally used his Lunar Guardian skin to change his Desert element to light. Similar to how, they used Shockblade Skin on Zed to change shadow element to electricity. His current ability is also not strong as other gold 5 champion. What would you suggest it be instead?

I don't understand why his stats can't be buffed too. I would think his Spit Fire and Fury of the Sands would work. An AOE Ult in the 5 gold champs seems appropriate. Thoughts?

I feel like using some variation on his q would be more thematic for nasus too. Maybe every time he uses it he gets some ad or something.

The same thing the did with LeBlanc being both Mage and Assassin. It's not too terribly farfetched to say you could have them be dual origins. It would also solve the problem of some of these origins that currently lack the units to actually fill what riot wants in diverse team compositions.
