It's really frustrating when all you get is gold and that is if your lucky. especially since we have new additional items it only makes sense to increase items abundance so that I don't just keep receiving Mana tears when all I have is graves and jinx. like am i suppose to build staph on graves?
One of the worst experiences is the dragon dropping something like the item that makes someone a demon.. Especially when you have 0 demons.. Like, wee, a completely useless item at this late stage of the game.. Maybe they need to give more than one option, like kill dragon, pick one of three fully built items.
You're supposed to pivot your comp based on what you're getting. Getting nothing but tears? Look for someone like Akali, Kennen, Karthus, etc. Don't force a comp you don't have items for and then blame the game when you start losing.
Getting tons of gold isn't even bad. You must be severely undervaluing how important economy is if you complain about getting a bunch of gold. That lets you hit higher levels earlier than others, and get access to 4 and 5 stars earlier.
Play to round 5 and you'l find generally everyone now has about the same amount of items. The only question is: were they the RIGHT items.
