Wanting to Climb to Gold this season: Personal Space Invaders

Im currently silver 5, my friend is bronze 1. We are looking for other folks who want to climb to Gold together. We are adults with full time jobs, so climbing is difficult if you can't carry 3 or 4 other people. So, lets make a team!

TOP: Shahamut (Me) MID: Lockjaw2000 (my friend)

Everything else is open.

Requirements: -Voice Chat: We use curse voice currently. We are open to other things, but to start, we would like it if you had curse. End up playing with us, and we can talk about other options. :)

-Chill Attitude: We like to be competitive. We like to try hard. We don't like direct or indirect insults that serve no purpose other than to piss people off or make you feel better about yourself. We are all about constructive criticism. Both giving and receiving. This is extremely important, because if you can't listen, you will never learn. That goes for us too.

-Shot Calling: We do it. Currently, Lockjaw2000 is the shot caller. If you would like to take that roll, we would be happy to see how that goes. :) If not, be willing to follow calls even if you don't agree with it. Thats how the shot caller learns, and sometimes, a bad call can turn out well if everyone works together.

-Time Zone: This is less of a requirement and more a thing to consider. We are in Central and Eastern Time Zone, So we are only 1 hour apart. If you are in a place where our time zones may be a factor, just try to play some with us and see how often that happens. Then ask about team if it works out.

-Play Time: We are grown men with jobs, so we try to dedicate 1 day a week to play. Depending on work this is usually Sunday Evening, but sometimes on Saturday.

You can contact one of us in game throughout the week, or leave your information here and I will try to contact you in the future. Probably on Monday as I work back to back doubles this weekend :/

Your best bet is to never que with more than 3 people if you're trying to climb. once you get 4-5 people you'll be up against other 4 and 5 man queues every game, so you lose your advantage.

Hello everyone! It's great to see two applications already posted, so Shahamut and I have only motivation driving us forward.

We are fully aware of what we will be going up against. And this is actually why we are trying to recruit. Last season, we had a good 5 man squad and we climbed to silver together as a team. Obviously, we want to get to Gold (an initial goal), but we also want more than that. We love working in a full squad environment.

And also, we have already tried to 3 man. Sometimes successful, most of the times not. We are trying to find consistent players that are communicative and are willing to learn the game instead of plateau. We can only go up from here! So why not do it together?

A little clarification: we had a 5man team that consisted (most of the time) 3 gold players 1 silver(me) and 1 bronze(lockjaw2000). We played team ranked together and climbed out of bronze into silver. In team ranked, your solo sue rank meant nothing. Many of the other bronze teams had diamond and platinum players in them. We carried a must better than 50% Wingate in that environment and feel that in dynamic que, where opponents are limited to close to my solo rank with the occassional smurf, we should be able to carry a similar or better win rate assuming we are as coordinated as our previous team. :-)

There isn't as much of a plan but just to get a group together and play together. Riot has taken ranked teams away, so now we are forced to play the game the way they want us to. Which is dynamic queue.

I guess if there was a "plan", it would be; get a squad together, preferably subs too, and set up times that are dedicated to climbing and playing the game. Much like a practice in an everyday sport. We have called it "practice" in the past, and we will continue to do so. And that's exactly what it is, we get together and play the game and practice. We understand it's a game, and we have fun playing it. We also have fun being competitive. As such, we have also set up customs in the past and created warding patterns and stuff like that. We have even scrimmed against other ranked teams in custom matches and exchanged criticisms.

This all being said, we don't just want to climb ranked. That is our goal, but ultimately we want to grow as players. So it is a lot more involved than just logging on and playing a few games. Sometimes it will feel that way, but we also like to do team exercises and set goals for each other. If this all sounds ridiculous, then sorry to burst your bubble but we take this seriously, as much as we like to have fun!
