Making us think they weren't just going to recycle the same featured game mode from last year

They made us believe we were getting "NURF", which crushed a majority of peoples spirits as a majority of people wanted "URF" to return. They only brought it back because of the community constantly asking for it.
The best of the prank was waking up on 4/1 and seeing this
Perhaps next year we will actually get to experience NURF mode. One can hope at least.
Riot's greatest prank was so good, it fooled themselves.
That, of course, was the retcon announcement.
