Quite a bit of his kit power is tied up in making dragon ghosts.
And Dominion has a rather glaring lack of dragons with which to make ghosts.
Maybe give him a dragon ghost if he takes the Storm Shield? If his team wins a quest? Something?
Still not as bad as Garen, whose resists from W are pretty much gone on Dominion and ARAM.
I haven't seen him much and more testing needs to be done, but I've at least tested him in a custom vs bots, and he seems much stronger top lane now compared to before. Is he a top pick? Probably not. Does he need buffs in order to be somewhat viable? I'm not sure. I think he might be in a pretty okay state right now, and I'm not really sure what to buff in order to avoid making him overbearing to face.
So, I say: Let's test it for a bit and wait and see. He might be okay as he is.
The best Mord play I saw previously was Mord heading bot and just farming up until he hits 4 or 5 complete items, then rotating up top and just wrecking everything with his gold advantage.
I can see the new Mord (potentially) being able to work IF he has backup from ample hard CC to hold his targets down for him. But still, the missing ghost hurts. I think gaining it via storm-shield (or possible via winning quests) would allow him to maintain the functionality he gets over on Rift without being too disruptive.
I dont agree with that, I got Dragon a couple times in SR and it was not really strong, I prefer to have my ult in a teamfight then to have the useless dragon.
Morde is gimped in Dominion because the rework ruined him, not because of lack of Dragon...
Well balance for the other modes generally comes after champions simmer in the rift for a bit. So it'll come, just gotta wait.
From what I've seen so far, both Mordekaiser and Garen seem stronger after the rework, top lane, that is (though Garen is probably stronger bot lane now too).
