Dodging in ARAM is still the norm

I play aram almost exclusively. More lobbies end with a dodge than with a game. That is huge. Its not just the wasted time, it undermines the entire point of aram. If there are players for whom the default is to dodge when they don't like something then the system is broken. When the system "fails" to produce a game at the end of a lobby 50%+ of the time, that by itself should warrant attention. When the reason is people ignoring the system in place to give themselves an advantage or more control over the other 9 people in a game its not just broken, its infuriating.

It really shouldn't surprise anyone when you have a close look at the win rate numbers! Poke mages and Supports dominate the rankings (70%+ for Sona for example) for obvious reasons. We all know it's possible to win with tank/melee teams but it's not very likely as the numbers clearly show - i think that is the main reason why people dodge to not lose at champion select. A ban phase would be really cool before random champions are selected! Maybe just 1 per team

Riot isn't going to bad players for dodging ARAM. Players are not banned for dodging any other map/mode.

Familiarize yourself with the concept of "unintended consequences". If there was a severe penalty for dodging, players would just AFK. and an AFK player is far worse than somebody dodging during champion select. One might think this concept was obvious, but given the number of turbo-nerds who post threads/make comments suggesting players be banned for dodging in ARAM ... no, it isn't.

Happened today when I played ARAM. Someone was unhappy that they received Garen, so they dodged as they didn't want to spend their reroll. They even had the nerve to ask other players to dodge for them first.
