ARAM events causing bot problem?

Might be the time of day or matchmaking on my second account but i just played a game where most of the players were bots. Their behavior was NOT human at all. They all had the same odd summoner spells basically (barrier/ghost) and the names were sort of similar. They were on both teams in pairs of 3 queued together (checked with op.gg). I assume it's because of the event. Anyone else seeing this?
