Gold Rush!(Featured Game Mode)
G-G-GOLD! Welcome to another Featured Game Mode hosted by Kamiroo Wolf! The name of the game is Gold Rush, where players use an access of gold and special items to collect vast riches, outclass enemies, and mine to their heart's content! On this unique 5v5 map, players have no turrets or nexus to defend, no points to capture, and no ascended to combat! Interested? THEN READ ON ABOUT THIS FEATURED GAME MODE!
Basics(TL;DR): In this 5v5 draft pick game mode, players ban champions as normal before entering the game. Once in game, players will of course spawn with the usual 3 ability points and 1,375 gold! Additionally, they will have a new trinket that allows their champion to mine gold and a few other ores: The Ultimate Pickaxe! After a certain amount of time, players will be released from Fountain into a complex network of interconnecting tunnels riddled with gold, monsters, and a very special boss! During Gold Rush, the greatest part of the mode is the vast amount of gold you receive for EVERYTHING! Players even receive double the amount of gold(56) they recieve per 10 seconds! By that I mean 112 gold per 10 seconds! HOTDAMN! Players will also recieve additional gold whenever they kill monsters, mine ores, and kill each other! That's a lot of cash, no joke. The main idea of this game is(as one can expect) gold!
Utilizing The Ultimate Pickaxe, players mine the three main ores in the game mode: Gold- The real deal! Players mine this gold to build points for their team that bring them closer to victory! Takes about 2 seconds to mine one. Mining a gold ore rewards 175 gold and since this is the most common ore, expect a lot of income from these. “Fake Gold"- Nothing but pesky copper! Takes about 1.5 seconds to mine. It looks like gold but ain't the real thing! Rewards your team with no points and only gives 50 gold to the miner! There is also a chance that a greedy kobold miner will spawn and begin attacking you...kill him for 25 more gold! The second most common ore but rare enough to be considered uncommon. Diamond- What good is a mining game without Diamonds?! These are the rarest of rare and shine a beautiful light blue color! Mining diamond take awhile. A long 4 seconds, but worth the wait as this rare ore provides bonus points to your team as well as 300 gold to the miner!!!!!!
Beware the dangers of the tunnels! Throughout the tunnel channels are a hostile monsters such as:
Ravenous Devourers- Large burrowing worms that are pretty annoying.
And
Crazy Old Prospector- Common folk and yordles dressed up as miners! They've gone mad with greed it seems!
Think I'm done? YOU'RE WRONG! The last things I must explain are very important. First, the network of tunnels changes every game! From slight connection differences to a newly generated network altogether! Some say it is the work of madness; others claim it to be the work of the dragon that lies deep within the bowels of the cave and guards his bounty of loot with his life. Raziel, a fierce golden Dragon that guards his pile of riches with a fierce breath of elements! Finding and defeating this Dragon rewards enormous amounts of gold and buffs! Those are the two things I wished to share.
[A more in depth look at this Featured Game Mode]
The Map: Players spawn in a map that is different every time they spawn in. It would be hard to give an accurate description of the map since it is randomly generated and shifted each game but the only way I can explain it is vast network of interconnecting tunnels filled with riches. Somewhere in the maze and labyrinth of wealth, lies a powerful boss. Following the paths of the cave should get you where you need to go. The mini-map displays no map at all! Only the location of your allies.
The Gameplay: The objective of the game is to rush around the map and collect as many deposits of gold as possible. Add so much gold to your team's collection that it puts the other side's riches to shame, ending the game. The goal is 5,000 points, and yes, you heard me correctly. The first team to mine enough ore to reach this amount of points wins the game. Earn points simply by mining the vast amounts of ore within the tunnels.
Points earned from ore: Gold: 20 points Fake Gold: 10 points Diamond: 50 points (Dont worry about the low point rewards, the amount of ores in the cave in the cave is astronomical!)
Players, while hunting for riches, must fight to the death over the precious ores, confront dangerous monsters, and occasionally return home to spend their vast amounts of money. As mentioned before, players earn 112 gold per 10 second, receive 175 gold from gold ore, 50 gold from fake gold ore(+25 gold from the occasional kobold miner), and 300 gold from diamond ore. Additionally players can receive a bounty of 50 to 750 gold for killing champions and First Blood gives an additional 200 gold!
The Monsters: There are 4 different monsters in the game, 3 of which are aggressive and hostile. These monsters are:
Ravenous Devourers) Large burrowing earth worms that bear no eyes, have large gaping mouths, and a hunger for yer gold! They are rather tanky and annoying. They are uncommon but not enough so to be considered rare:
Health: 1000(+50 per minute) Attack Damage: 50(+5 per level) Attack Speed: 0.67 Armor: 20 Magic Resist: 10 Reward for killing: 80 gold, 140 experience.
Crazy Old Miners) Yordles and men driven mad by the tunnel's riches! Dressed as miners, these hostile creatures are rather balanced(leaning more towards damage) and equipped with hammers, pickaxes, and drills! They are common but not so common that you want to blow your brains out dealing with them.
Health: 700(+75 per level) Attack damage: 75(+25 per level) Attack Speed: 0.63 Armor: 15 Magic Resist: 0 Reward for killing: 70 gold, 150 experience.
Kobold Miners) Little annoyances that set traps and fake gold. PUNISH THEM FOR THEIR LIES! They are the least tanky, annoying as heck, and ebil.
Health: 500(+100 per level) Attack Damage: 25(+15 per level) Attack Speed: 1.105 Armor: 10 Magic Resist:10 Reward for killing: 25 health, 100 experience.
Raziel) Deep within the depths of the cave lies Raziel, Guardian Of Treasures! Armed with his devastating breath of elements such as fire, electricity, and frost; Raziel guards a large pile of red riches and is extremely difficult to defeat! The big boss should be, after all.
Health: 13000(+100 per minute) Attack Damage: 500 on electricity breath 250 on fire breath(+25 every half second for 4 seconds) 300 on frost breath(breath slows by 40%) Attack Speed: 0.75 Range: 1000 on fire breath 800 on frost breath 600 on electricity breath Armor: 100 Magic Resist: 150 Reward for killing: 1,000 global team gold+500 gold to killer. Breath Of Elements- “Your throat Sears, freezes, and buzzes all at once! Sounds cool!"
+20% critical strike chance +15% attack damage +10% attack speed -abilities apply a burn that deals 20 true damage per second for 5 seconds -basic attacks slow enemies by 20% and reduce their armor/magic resist by 15%
Fun Facts)
-Got a build you desperately want to try out? This mode was designed mostly because the creator couldn't try many of the builds he wanted in normal games.
-Raziel, Guardian Of Treasures was an old champion concept long abandoned by the creator for an unknown purpose. The concept was eventually lost when Kamiroo restarted his Kindle Fire.
-Kamiroo Wolf has two other game mode concepts: Mania Match Up(Hunger Games styled mode) Hide and Seek
-The image above was found on Deviantart ;D
-This mode is meant to be a tad ridiculous like URF mode, but with shiny stuff!
