The new mana regen on TTL 3s

Am I the only one who really doesn't like the mana regen nerf on TTL or was this actually needed? I can feel it pretty hard on Zilean and Ziggs and I didn't even know about the nerf until I started complaining on skype to my team during a game saying wow it feels like i'm oom all the time.

Has anyone else who plays TTL noticed it effecting there games as much as I have?

It was necessary - buy a blue elixir and a chalice and see why.

It was the worst change they ever did to TT, it didn't hurt the dominating mages as they still can go doubledorans->chalice or start with a tear and never care about mana again, while everyone else lacks the needed regen items and struggles with mana, indirectly buffing the very mages they wanted to nerf-,-
