ARAM "Blacklist"

So, I was thinking, do you ever play an ARAM and you have no rerolls, but you get the one -- the ONE -- champ you can't stand? I love playing ARAMs but every time I end up with a champ I just really don't want to play (whether it's one of my own [I'm looking at you, Soraka] or the FtP champs [the ones I can't play for shit]), I just KNOW I'll end up getting them in an ARAM.

What I'm proposing is that in our champion pool (outside of match or maybe before a match begins) there be an option to "Blacklist" a champion, so that they can't appear in an ARAM. You can only have one champion "Blacklisted" at a time, but can change it at any point. It might also be preferable that there is either a level requirement or a required number of champions before "Blacklisting" is available.

Alternatively, I was thinking there might be an "DARAM" mode (Drafted ARAM) in which teams can ban certain champs, then are randomly given champs that weren't banned. This could work in either format: you ban your own weak champions that you don't want; or you ban the opponents strong champions you don't want them to have.

Reasoning: For me, ARAM is mostly fun in the "random" aspect. Therefore, I don't care for "picking" my champions, but I hate getting champions I don't much care for when I don't have rerolls (and I refuse to dodge just because I don't like my champ). I think this solution could help stop some dodging, or with the alternative option could stop some repetitive strong champs.

This is just an idea I thought of, sorry if it's been thought of before. Let me know of any thoughts, comments, etcetera.

As someone who gets annoyed by having a queue restart 5x because of selection dodgers, bless you.

But Soraka is good in ARAM...

Also, why not save the rerolls for times like that?

I'm conflicted on the possibility of banning champions from the ARAM pool. On one hand, I loathe facing a Sona + poke comp. But I sometimes want to face Xerath, Vel'koz, Jayce, and Nidalee to make those ARAM accounts regret their choices in life when they stall out a game for 30 minutes and still lose.

oh... and Janna...

fuck janna.

Solution is to just unlock all of the champions. Everyone gains 1 reroll a game, stacking up to two.

Easiest solution anyway.

I'd rather see a trinket system brought in that helps odd comps and better itemization for ARAM. Which they are working on it seems.

Two champions for me.

I did not buy these champions, they were bought FOR me as a joke because my friend knew how much I hated them and how often I play ARAM. I own Poppy and Master Yi... but not on purpose ='[

You should be allowed to blacklist 1 champ for every 10 champs that you owned.

I think they should just make all champs free for ARAM. It would let more people try new champs more often while still being random. It would also make it far easier for teammates to trade champions.

If its just to blacklist one champion, I feel this system is pointless. If you have too few champions, limiting the amount you can pool from makes your champion pool possibly even more threatening, making more appearances of pokers. For people who own a lot of champions or like me who own all of them, blacklisting one champion doesn't offer much to me because I gain full RR's after 3 games if I use both in one queue, so I'm not inhibited even IF I somehow rolled my "unwanted" champion.

For your second point "DARAM" you mean ADAM (All Draft All Mid). I guess you can make this mode, but I feel it removes the point of ARAM and takes away from the spirit of it. Also, you aren't really playing ARAM anymore and are just playing poke wars. It has its merits, but I'd get bored eventually of just playing poke vs. poke all day.

This is cool. It removes the most frustrating part of ARAM without significantly changing the randomness of the game.
