Game mode for more than 2 teams (battle royale: Crossroads)

ok so walking home from work today I had a thought, firstly this idea is very grand and would take at least 2 extra seasons of leagues to make if they decided to do this. ok firstly the map would be about twice to three times the size of summoners rift, and each corner would have a base in it. in the center of the map however is a special nexus which cant be attacked until three of the four other nexus' are destroyed, also in this game mode having your nexus destroyed wouldn't end the game for your team but it would stop your minions from spawning. next each base has 2 not three lanes and a jungle route to the middle of the map as the center of the map would be considered jungle. the team colors would be blue, red, green, and yellow, red swapped with purple in colorblind. and lastly your IP/Exp gain would be dependent upon your teams order of destruction, with last place (first nexus down) getting the IP award as if they had lost a normal SR match, 3rd place getting the normal win for SR and increasing by half with the victor (team whose nexus is still active) recieveing 2x the IP/Exp of a normal SR match without the first win bonus. As a side note certain champions namely karthus champions with abilities that don't use an active target would need a last target hit addition Ex, karthus' ult effects only the team of the last enemy hit by him, making it impossible for karthus to get a triple penta from a single ult

I like the idea but how would you determine the winner? i mean what if your the first team to loss your nexus but are also the ones to destroy the center nexus?

What about a time issue? Some league matches take up to an hour to an hour 1/2 easy with the normal size of summoner's rift. Double/triple the size and 3 more nexus' to take down would surely be frustrating. I'm guessing the average time would be around 2 hours unless they automatically start with level 9 and some rediculiously high GP. With the crossroads ideas and two lanes (im guessing in a cross shape), it may cancel or excel the need for supports. I'm not sure how that would work if you have two champions carrying and the supports are dealing a whopping 50 damage to eachother. 3 supports and 2 tanks.... the math isn't hard. I do love the idea, and i believe it would be HELLA AWESOME to roll with 4 teams. But the time it would take to do such and the meta would be.... blown up, Majorly. Great idea m8

Whoa whoa whoa. Dont go suggesting something that breaks the dota meta. They might actually start developing map variety.

Well it sounds good but instead of a nexus in the center, which is basicallly pointless, you need a buff of some sort. Maybe something like baron that all 4 teams strive to obtain to make them stronger. The problem with that would be teams ganging up on whoever holds the buff. It would be a chaotic game mode certainly, so it would take quite a bit of work on riots part to make it work properly but I do think it would be entertaining.

The only problem would be teams teaming up, which I'm sure would happen frequently. There is a solution to that though. Instead of eliminating teams for destroying the nexus, do away with the nexus. Just make it a team deathmatch with 4 teams of 5 players. Put objectives all over the place, one in each teams area and a big one in the middle and the team that scores the most points, based on kills and objectives wins.

If your set on having each team have a nexus and one in the middle, make those the objectives which award more points. Neutral minions spawn in very large numbers from the central nexus and upon destroying it your team captures it and the minions become yours. It can still be destroyed by other teams who wish to take it for their personal gain. Taking out a teams personal nexus will stop their minions from spawning so it will be more difficult for them to get into the fight due to large numbers of powerful minions storming them. Points for player kills and nexus steals but not for minion kills. It could be done.
