Team builder rework
My Impression from the initial promotion of Team Builder was that it was finally a game mode for people to try out non-meta strategies without being raged at, if you don't agree that is fine, but that is what I got out of it and it is definitely not what has happened.
My recommendation of how to fix this: When searching for a team you have three options and you not required to make any selection Lane - top, mid, bot, jungle Champion - any you own or are available Role- Tank, Burst Damage, Sustain Damage, Support, Utility - can choose two, order doesn't matter
If you do not choose a champion the matching system will match you to a team based on your selection(s) and then with a team that has requested a specific champion that you own. If you do not have the champion they request then you will be matched with teams that did not request a specific champion.
When creating a team you have the same three options for each person Lane- must be selected Champion - optional Role - optional
In my opinion this would allow people to actually try non meta team comps because it allows them to select any champ they want in any role they want without having to have 4 friends that are in on it with you.
side note: match making priorities: (selection(s) that match) no selections < only Role selected < only Lane selected < only Champ selected < both Role and Lane selected < both Role and Champ selected < both Lane and Champ selected < all selected
*Added Example Matching preference between Solo Que: say there are 4 Solo Que players 1, 2, 3, and 4; ---1 has selected Nami, Mid, Utility ---2 has selected Nami , Burst Damage ---3 has selected Mid, Burst Damage - has nami but has not selected her ---4 has selected Nami, Utility If the team is looking for a Nami, Mid, Burst ---the system would choose 1 > 2 > 3 > 4 If the team is looking for a Mid, Utility ---the system would choose 1 > 3 > 4 > 2
In general making a selection from every option will get you placed sooner.
