No IP for a Win?

So I was playing a dominion match against legit people (on a smurf because I wasn't using my main computer and nty to the terrible framerate) and we stomped them. Like completely shattered their dreams and everything. The match was only six minutes and thirty seconds long, so we got nothing for it? I could understand if it was a summoner's rift match and that happened, pretty much the only way to win in under 7 minutes is to go 5 mid against 5 afks and push it down, but dominion is much shorter, and even with some resistance from the enemy team it can happen that you win under that mark.

I'm not going to demand compensation or any of that nonsense, but I would like to know why anyone would punish a team for doing too well. It just seems silly. Should Germany have been denied moving forward in the World Cup because of how hard they stomped Brazil?

I do understand that if it were enabled across the board it could be abused to farm ip or afklevel a smurf. Is there just no way with the current system to allow ip and xp gains for just dominion matchmade games? If not, should it really be encouraged to draw out the match? Isn't that considered poor form, and couldn't that lead to comebacks that should never happen?

Anyone else have thoughts on this?
