A More Strategic Twisted Treeline

In response to Riot JxE who created an AMA on TT on Reddit.

As most of the flaws in TT has been brought up in that thread, I just wanna add a few suggestions.

  1. There should be a boss monster weaker than Vilemaw, similar the Dragon on SR. This will increase the strategic diversity on the map a bit.
  2. A jungle camp which grants a buff without smiting it, similar to the Blue Sentinel / Bambleback on SR. (Doesn't have to be a blue / red buff, it can be another colour and grants something different).
  3. Another jungle camp should be added to grant the sprite to give vision of the jungle it was smited in for 1 minute, similar to SR.
  4. Increasing the size of the map slightly to accommodate the 2 new jungle camps would work really well.
  5. Jungle camps need a visual update to keep p to standard with SR.
  6. Turrets need to be visually updated (perhaps we can have different turrets than those of SR and HA?), as well as the Inner Turrets need regenerating shields and the Inhibitor and Nexus Turrets need lasers.
  7. Scrying Orbs should be added to all our trinket slots in TT. (Come on, they're useless right now).
  • They would have a cooldown of 4 minutes (as every member on both teams would have one)
  • Similar the Soul Anchor Trinket on Crystal Scar / Dominion, it would be unsellable.
  • It cannot be upgraded to "Farsight Orb"
  1. A base gate can be added by the both Nexi.
  2. Can we have different themed Nexi / Inhibitors than SR / HA? Diamond / Quadrilateral shaped instead of Cylindrical maybe?
  3. Loading Screen Art.
  4. Jungle camps, Turrets, Inhibitors, Boos monsters need to have their HP bars updated.
  5. I feel like TT is missing some of the interesting aspects it had prior to it's update and feels almost like an ARAM / HA now.
  6. Most Importantly, all other maps (TT, CS, HA) need to be given more attention. SR can't be hogging all. Balance changes need to be made as quickly as SR on other maps if needed, bugs needs to be fixed quicker as well.

Feel free to suggest more improvements or state why any of the improvements I listed wouldn't be healthy.

I'm not familiar enough with high-level TT play to be able to comment on most of those suggestions, but

That might be a bit greedy. More frequent balance changes are sorely needed, but not quite as frequently as SR. Unless Riot's also majorly expanding the alternate maps team, forcing out updates at that pace could impact quality. Small imbalances that last two or three patches seem preferable to untested changes being constantly put out.
