Game Mode Idea: The Island of Misfit Items

So the idea is simple. Normal Summoners Rift, but the only items you are able to buy are ones that have been removed from the game. What I mean by this is the higher tier items, not the simple ones like longsword and dagger. Would be a neat way to show some of the newer players how the older items worked, and give the older players a blast of nostalgia. Thoughts?
