A Sandbox (Practice) Mode has far more use than you assume. Plz Rito, we need this...

[New Game Mode] Introducing Practice Mode

Practice not as in just fighting bots or in normals where it's not as competitive, but a mode where you can test mechanics of the game efficiently as often as you want, such as;

Toggle gold costs - You can enable to buy any item you want, from level 1.

Manually adjust your level - You can level up normally, and/or you can simply adjust a slider.

God Mode - You can enable this so you don't have to worry about dying as you test something out.

Control AI - Add or remove any enemy or ally AI at any point, make them passive/aggressive, change their items/levels/abilities, increase/decrease their difficulty setting, make them go to a certain lane or position on the map.

Change champion - Like the AI, you can swap your champion at will from the menu, and also your Mastery/Rune/Spells.

Reset CD / Adjust total CDR - Reset all your skill CD's so you can use it again for testing, or simply set the CDR high.

Reset all towers/minions/neutral objective - Start the game from scratch so you don't lose/win while you're still trying to play.

Players are an enormous source for discovering bugs in the game, but when they want to make a decent Bug Report, they either have to go off what they remembered seeing, watch a replay (which they rarely have), or most importantly/effectively they try to reproduce the results so they know for sure what happens and under what circumstances.

For me, this mode would be about either testing bugs to report, or gauging the effectiveness of certain builds without spending 40 minutes in a solo Custom farming gold then losing/winning because of minions.

Commenter Suggestions;

  • No Respawn Timer
  • Homeguard buff without boots
  • Realtime Stat Tracking (DPS, GPM, etc.)
  • Enhanced AI directions (i.e. tell them to push an objective)
  • Remove Turrets from the map, spawn minion waves from any/all points
  • Alternatively, an open Arena for battling player prompted waves of minions/Champs
  • Dummy targets for you to wail on which you can adjust its Runes/Masteries/Items/Level

Keep the ideas coming, and upvote the thread if you'd like it to get more attention.

Seems useful but they wont even save their other game modes overrun by bots, they've got priorities up their bum

A lot of those advanced gameplay editing controls would most likely take a ton of time to code and put into the game, which would probably make them reluctant, but this idea also made me think that this would be PERFECT for the pbe, where we can test for bugs (as you mentioned) among other things with no cooldowns. summoner 4

One idea is just to make a slider/box to type in for any and all stats. Imagine having 1000 Movement Speed at all times.

How would you truly be able to test your power spikes with the items? Like the build up is what would make it better imo. I think ascension is the best way to do it for a sand box mode you can see your champ in constant 1v1s 1v2s and team fights. The gold all being the same lets you know who you cannot really fight and it was just really fast pace. Although I personally don't think it would help i wouldn't mind them adding it for people who want it.

I'd like an option to disable minions so waves don't push by it self/see how much passive gold I generate or gold from camps.
