mark dash needs to leave HA
Okay, so you play ranked and you don't care about aram. I play aram and don't care about ranked. So if what you have to say is about ranked, say it in a different conversation. This is about aram.
Mark/Dash is not like any other summoner spell. It is more like an added ability, and particularly good for melee champions (and absolutely no good for squishy ranged champions). It has the shortest cd of all summoner spells, and it changes the character of the game. The next shortest,Clairvoyance, is 60 seconds, and is probably the least used because it is mostly useless. In ARAM Mark/Dash is the most frequently used tanks/brawler spell ... I wonder why (NOT!).
ARAM IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT PLAYING WHAT YOU WOULD NORMALLY PLAY WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS:
- Random champion selection. (You play what you get, but you can reroll.
- All middle (thus the M) ... you don't go off the mid lane, so there is no "well, you can't go behind them to get to the enemy squishy" to argue, you stay mid. That was the deal.
- No going back to base to heal or buy (or get mana) unless you died.
That was the definition before Howling Abyss came along and did minor enforcement of those rules. Until Riot started messing with it. Different spells, different items, different game. Can we PLEASE go back a little? I wouldn't mind having the HA with no mana/heal spots, no item differences, nothing other than having to stay mid. It used to be mid in the rift ... and while I can understand that some champions are particularly disadvantaged being only mid lane on the rift (Cait and Rengar have no brush to attack from mid lane) I also understand that ARAM, if you mess with it becomes something other than aram. Modification to suit champions that don't do well in the rift mid lane changes it from what it is supposed to be. Riot, give us back plain Jane ARAM. I don't mind it being on the H.A., but don't change things more than that. ARAM has no jungle, it has no "going back" ... you take with you what you need until you die.
