Ebonmaw was the old Twisted Treeline dragon. Riot killed him.

Ebonmaw would be normal dragon but with green flames and he's black. #BringBackEbonmaw

That's just adding him in to add him in. There's no real reason to do so. It's not really needed, there's already a skeleton of Ebonmaw in vilemaws lair, so he's already an easter egg. And dead.
