Dodge Button Like Reroll

Since sometimes games are doomed from champ select, people want to dodge. But why would you want to wait 6 or 15 min to play again? Introducing "The Dodge Button" (may need to be tweaked)

For example, after lasting though 10 games without a dodge, you get one "dodge" that you can use to avoid the penalty (max of 2?)

The numbers may need to be changed to be fair. What do you think about this?

(I don't know where to put this so I threw it in maps and modes)

EDIT: Multiple people have pointed out that with 10 games to earn a dodge, dodges could be too common. I do not have a specific number in my mind, but maybe increasing the number of games needed is a good idea. If Riot were to choose to implement this, I'll let them pick their own numbers

Strongly disagree.

From a gameplay perspective, allowing a free dodge every 10 games * 10 players on the pick screen = a very high chance that multiple people have dodge tokens that they are willing to use. This would cause many more games to be false starts and increase the time needed to start a game.

From a psychological perspective, telling people that they can earn a free dodge enforces the idea that you should dodge when you perceive that you are at a disadvantage (e.g. your main was banned or a teammate took an off-meta pick). This is bound to happen when you give a gamer a resource that gets stored up and has a cap; it triggers that use-it-or-lose-it mindset. This in turn incentivizes trolls to force dodges like the old days, because players are that much more willing to oblige them by dodging.

Yes, please, especially when you have a game like the one I just finished. One player said in the lobby that he was going to troll, and another last picked Kha'zix and took it bot with my Caitlyn, instead of picking a support, which was the only role open at last pick. Why should we be punished for wanting to avoid a game with a troll and a player who ignores teamwork?

I think, however, to avoid returning the other players to the queue, it should only return the player who used the dodge button, and fill that player's spot in the lobby with someone else from the queue, like how getting kicked in team builder does not disband the game.

One dodge every ten games, ten players per match, on average you'll get 1 dodge per game, meaning to start a game you'd need to go through champion select twice on average.

The current system is fine, you can dodge if you really have to (trolls...), but if you dodge because you don't like the matchup the enemy took so much effort to get, you get punished.

I fully support this. There are times when someone is obviously trolling a team and there is not legitimate reason to be forced to play a game with someone who is clearly going to be a detriment to the team (cursing out fellow teammates for champ pick, players forcing themselves into lanes that have already been taken in ranked, feeders who announce their intentions up front, etc.) The point of playing a game is to have fun, not to suffer through trolls and children who throw tantrums because they don't get to play a team game their way. Especially in ranked where you lose LP for dodging. Implementing this feature, or perhaps a kick feature where people can vote to remove a teammate who is toxic, is a good idea for those of us that want to play to enjoy the game.

I would love that but it would have to take a long time to get a dodge credit otherwise it would be way to common. I can't tell you how many games I have wanted to dodge but don't. I have played since preseason one and never dodged but there are times I wish I had.

"You banned Jax so I feed" He doesn't mean it he is just pissed... (Get in match) fuck... he was serious.
