I've seen tons of these ads around thanks to my torrent application. I don't know if these are direct rips of current champion splash art because I haven't played LoL in a long time (and possibly never played Rengar since release), but it's still your IP being represented by this company.

offtopic P.S. - There was also this one Android tower defence that ripped character designs from League for their champions (basically towers with ultimates), but I've forgotten completely about it. But it exists out there somewhere.

The thing about a lot of these mobile apps and stuff is that they operate out of countries where copyright laws don't apply. China's big on that, for example.

So you'll see a lot of these ads, especially around Facebook or whatever, typically stealing art from popular games to advertise something that usually has absolutely nothing to do with it. I've seen it a lot with League, Pokemon and WoW are also frequent victims. The problem is that there's really not much they can do, since they kinda have copyright invincibility. The websites could not display the ads, I guess, but I'm not a legal expert and I won't pretend I know how all that works.
